He isn't exactly a specialist and neither is Nash, but it hurts.

It hurts Richards to but I'm starting to think our pp is is least marginally Brad's fault.

I'm confident that even if we had a middle of the pack PP (15-13th place), we'd have 3-5 more wins to show for it. It can't be understated how detrimental it has been for us to have this **** show for a PP. It hurts everyone, especially our top guns' productions.

The pp has been a detriment for years. Its just the Ranger way. Don't matter who we bring in it will still blow

It's basically sucked as long as I can remember '94 is the only year I can remember it being dominant. A few decent years afterwards though.

Starting to believe this.

No reason this team should have such a abysmal PP, yet they do.

It's a mystery, it really is. No matter who we've brought in it's sucked. Coaching? Management? Players? Maybe all three, who knows.

Want my personal opinion? They have to stop passing so much, and start shooting and keep moving.

After watching Gaborik play in the playoffs last year, it was hard to believe the guy scored 41 goals in the regular season. I know he had that big goal against the Caps in OT, but other than that he was largely invisible on the ice.

The rangers need to move Gaborik after this year, the guy just isn't what he used to be. People always talk about his speed, but he really isn't that explosive skating wise and all he has is a good shot. He's useless in the corners, and is only effective in the open ice or in the slot. Good teams shut Gaby down, he's too inconsistent to keep around. Trade him at the end of this year or don't resign him next year.

Let me chime in here; so now Gaborik has a "shot" at getting his number retired by the Ranger's based on a far fetched notion that he's going to resign with us after next year and continue to put up great numbers??

That may be the single most delusional & ridiculous statement that I've read on this forum!

Did the Rangers send out a search party for the Mr. "Missing in Action" as of yet?

Gaborik with 2 assists tonight... 14 points in 20 games, and you wouldn't even know it.

Gaborik looked better tonight, though he's not an impact player like Nash is and is not worth 7.5 million for what he is. He's a streaky player at best. I bet 10 of those 14 points came in 3 or 4 of the Rangers 20 games, check the stat

both points came playing with Nash on the PP instead of Boyle/Miller or Richards who sucked early on.. imagine that. maybe that will get him going.

He was playing with a torn rotator cuff. It's surprising he was even able to play at all.

Problem is if he doesn't start playing better and more consistently, he's not going to have a very high trade value with his $7.5 mil cap hit.... I'm for moving him in the off-season if we can land a promising young offensive player or prospect in return.

Pass to Nash was nice, assist on Stepan's goal was nothing.

Gaborik looked disinterested and disengaged . I anyone has tuned out Torts its him . On a side note Mr. Disinterested and " cancer" Alex Semin is looking really good with 5 g and 15 assists in 21 games . Weird

like i said in another thread...put Gabby, Richards and Nash together...the few times they were together, they were dominant, and Hagelin, Stepan and Callahan didn't miss a beat. You'd have 2 #1 lines.

Stick Boyle, Pyatt and Miller together to create a shutdown line.

Devils Hockey 101, 2 offensive lines 1 shutdown line, and 1 occasional energy line.

Why are they breaking up with Hagelin-Nash duo? They have been the best, most consistent offensive threats for most of the season and feed off of eachother.

Simply put: Torts has no idea what hes doing with his talent. He's a motivator, not a scholar.

Simple, because Callahan, Hagelin and Stepan are effective without Nash. if you can leverage Nash to get Richards and Gaborik going, then you're talking about having 6 players going rather than 1 line.

Yeah, Hagelin, Stepan and Callahan havent really relied on anyone but themselves thus far to be effective, not sure why some are suggesting otherwise. Esp the time Nash was out.
