Leafs-Isles, Leafs-Preds

To NYI: John Michael-Liles, 2nd round pick, Andrew Crescenzi, 4th round pick
To Toronto: Travis Hamonic.

To Nashville: Mike Komisarek
To Toronto: (retain 1 mil), 5th rounder

This leaves the leafs' defence core looking like this

Phaneuf-Hamonic
Gunnar-Kostka
Fraser-Franson

And for the islanders

Liles-Macdonald
Hickey-Streit
Finley-Visnovsky

Changes will be made to new york's D core when injured players return

The Islanders wouldn't do it

Mark Streit, a 2nd, scrub prospect, a 4th for Jake Gardiner.

See how that looks? That's what you're asking of the Islanders.

Not an Islanders fan by any stretch, there's no way on gods green earth that they move Hamonic for that package. EVER

Not a chance in hell. Only way Hammer is being moved is in a 1 for 1 deal of if he's part of a bigger package.

He won't be moved for more than 1 piece.

islanders turn the deal down flate

and with komi leafs take back a bad contract. He has been a healthy scratch for most of the year and has negative value due to his contract. You only get a pick if you eat 80% of the contract remaining

This isn't the fantasy board. The isles aren't trading Hamonic for scraps.

Counter offer: Reilly for Brain Strait and 2013 3rd rounder

Now your exaggerating way more

More like Gardiner for #5 D, 2nd + 4th + likely to bust prospect

Easy no from the Isles. Hamonic isn't going anywhere, especially not in a quantity for quality deal.

Leafs fans, PLEASE review your trade proposals before posting them

The Isles trade has already been ripped enough, so all I will add is quality>quantity.

As for Komi, I can't see him being moved for anymore than a conditional 7th with that atrocious cap hit.

There's zero incentive for Nashville to do this. Komisarek isn't better than Hal Gill, who is getting into about every other game at this point, and he's not better than Scott Hannan...so...no spot for him.

Islanders laugh at this.

Hamonic has Luke Schenn/Jake Gardiner type trade value.

Think more of a deal around our 1st rounder this year or Gardiner as for what the Islanders would do it for.

As a right D, Hamonic would be a great addition to the Leafs who are soon to have a log jam of left D with Phaneuf, Gunnarson, Liles, Gardiner, Rielly and potentially even Ranger added into the mix.

Are you out of your mind? Gardiner+ or Rielly would HAVE to be involved for Hamonic imo...

Actually, trading 22/23 yr old Hamonic, for a mid 1st holds no appeal.

All that does is push the NYI rebuild back, further away from the playoffs.

As for Gardiner vs. Hamonic...I would rather simply keep Hamonic, see if one of Reinhart, De Haan or Donovan develops into his partner, allowing the isles to push MacDonald down the depth chart.

Phion clearly expected this deal to involve Reilly and Brain Strait, not whoever you're referring to.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to end my mistake, of referring to Morgan Rielly as Morgan Reilly, by simply using his initials

Nashville adds an expensive defenseman that isn't very good...why?
