I hate the talk about if 'team x' is just the best team in their division, then they get into the playoffs.
Like I give a **** about winning the division.
Meh, anything can happen if we make the playoffs. Teams that scrape by just to get in can often surprise and hit momentum and go a long run. On the other hand, it impedes us from improving the team through the draft with an earlier pick (we clearly need it since winning the SE is nothing to brag about).
Still, I'd rather make the playoffs as the SE division leader than finish in 9th-11th place.
We have to get away from 1 strong period and 2 awful periods. We have showed we can hang with good teams, but often point the barrel at our feet, and blast away.
Just win. Don't care if it's 7-6, or 1-0. Win is a win is a win. Hopefully Purcell is on the upswing and not floating anymore. Salo is back in, unfortunately that doesn't make Carle-Brewer any less volatile. Help Garon out tonight, his play has been outstanding for a **** team.
No false hope syndrome tonight, please. If we win, we need to play like it the whole time. If we lose, TB better not rope us in to thinking we'll win, and then turn up the FAIL. 3 periods of effort tonight.
Im feeling depressed that it is yet another season where I have no confidence in every game we go into (and that I am already picturing in my head what Jones will look like in a Bolts uni just to make me happy about the awful showing we get night in and night out). We have so much talent, I just don't understand.
Anyways lets go give it our best effort. Stamkos/Crosby is always fun to watch regardless of how bad we do.
Five minutes into the show and I'm already sick of Milbury and Jones.
I have reached the point (as of two games ago) where I mute the games on NBC and listen to Mishkin radio; and dont watch till the game starts/dont watch the intermission report. It makes the whole experience so much enjoyable.
