I agree with Mars I would like the Dpairing to look like,

Wilson - Johnson
Hejda - Barrie
O'Byrne/O'Brien - Hunwick

Zanon
O'Byrne/O'Brien

I hope they don't send Barrie down, but I could see them doing it. Maybe we have a trade coming up? Because we are simply carrying too many defensemen and I think Barrie has overtaken a few on the depth chart.
I'd much rather see Barrie in the lineup than O'Byrne or Xanon. Hunwick would be fine if he wasn't getting top minutes. I like O'Brien.

This! I think we are waiting until EJ and Wilson are ready to go. Then we will see one of SOB or ROB sent off for pick/prospect. We should have a new toy by the end of the week.

I know Carolina wants a depth defenseman, but what about Winnipeg? Did they scout us last game as well? Maybe ROB for Postma considering we need a point person on the PP?!

Yeah, sorry for not updating earlier, RL had asked me about Wilson but even he didn't know what the prognosis really was. A "sprain" but no improvement for weight support in like 8 days. I really didn't want to say or indicate anything serious when the guy himself didn't know.

I doubt we would bring back another D in the trade. My guess is that we will get a prospect in juniors or just broke into the AHL or we will get a pick. From Winnipeg, I would look at Klingberg as a mid level prospect. O'Dell is also an underrated prospect that could be worth a look in a trade.

Olver has yet to play 150 games, I believe he's not waiver eligible, no?

I believe Olver only has until 70 games, and has 10 of those left. I could be wrong though.

if the report was true and we're still rocking with 8d and olver's not waiver eligible yet seems like a no -brainer to me.

Knowing Sacco, my guess would be SOB and Barrie or something stupid like that.

Yep...NO WAY do Hunwick, O'Byrne, or Zanon even get considered.

I think most of us will agree with you , Wilson is the best Dpartner we have for EJ . Is there place for improvements ? sure , but i believe that for now , Wilson is the best solution we got with EJ.

But if we beat the wings no way Sacco changes the lineup

While it's true they don't have to go through waivers, it has nothing to do with them being on two-way deals.

I think he is just saying that is if anyone is to be moved, those 2 will probably be first. Since everyone else is on a 1-way deal, they are less likely to be moved.

Elliott is the one that will go down, since he's not playing anyway. I think Avs will make room for Barrie no matter what, even if it means trading a defender.

One way or two way it doesn't matter, only waiver eligibility matters. Olver and Elliott are both not waiver eligible yet and will likely go down. Palushaj is an interesting one though, I can't see us keeping him but there is also no reason to waive him if we send Olver down...

So who knows.

Doubt he goes, but is Bords waiver exempt?

Hate giving Sacco the option of 8 D. Just gives him one more option to bench the wrong guy.

Elliott covers one, but the 2nd is the question. It is between trading someone or sending down Barrie, Palushaj, or Olver.

My guess is that they waive Palushaj and Habs claim him back and put him in AHL. It's possible they'll find a trade partner for Hunwick/O'Brien/O'Byrne but it's a month to trade deadline, so it might be early.

If somebody is waived it will be Palushaj IMO. I think a trade will be done, a few teams are rumored to be looking for depth defensemen and we have too many.

No he's saying that since they are on two way deals they don't have to clear waivers which has nothing to do with it. Half the people on this site know more about hockey than these two jokes of NHL writers. And that's saying something.
