The wife of former Sharks center Dominic Moore has died after a nine-month battle with liver cancer.

Katie Moore, who died on Monday, was diagnosed with a rare form of the disease in April, two months after her husband was acquired by the Sharks just before the 2012 NHL trade deadline.
