'The Dream' to leaf fans. 'The Nightmare' to opposing teams.

It's just really lame and unoriginal.
It's a different sport that no one should care about, so.....who cares?

I've never heard anyone say Nazeeeeem. If you watch any Leafs games, you know how to pronounce it right. His name is mentioned correctly many times per night. You have to be pretty ****ing stupid to pronounce it wrong.

I didn't say I do it, or it is right, but it is done.

I really don't get why so many people have such pissy pants over his nick name. It's like it personally offends them, kicks their dog and steals their lunch money.

Do you not have more important things to worry about, or is this really the biggest thing in your life right now?

Call him what you want, and don't give a flying F what others call him.

Hopefully this isn't just a freak hot streak and he becomes a 70+ point player. He is outscoring Seguin

I was under the impression that it was given by his team mates in London, and revived by Phaneuf. I could be wrong; any Knights fans kicking around to confirm/deny this?

If you want a good laugh:

Ctrl + F, search Kadri and enjoy.

3 year old scouting report that bashes Kadri.

I know there was some talk in the previous thread where people were looking back at old draft threads from 09 and figured this was as good a place as any to point people's attention to this thread on the trade board:

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1366877

Glennie went 8th overall (right after Nifty Mittens) and is still struggling mightily...so much so that Dallas fans aren't expecting much if anything in return for him if he's shipped out. I know there's still time for him to turn it around, but between him faltering and MSP being sent down for the ump-teenth time, I'm really, really glad I'm not an NHL scout/GM, since they were my two preferred choices that year.

Did anyone hear Carlyle's post game comments about Naz tonight?

I could only imagine the vitriol that would be being spit here if Wilson said those things.

I wanted Schenn so bad in the draft year, but after seeing kadri play, I instantly became a fan.

He has really shown that he can be a constant threat on every shift

I really, really, REALLY wanted Pietrangelo that year. Not because I knew anything at all about him, but because his name sounds totally badass.

Looks like I was right

Again, called him a great young player.

Love that he gave credit, but also held him accountable. These are crucial in a players development and maturity.

And that is what a good coach should be doing with his young players. Yes, you need to point out mistakes and help them improve, but point out the positives too, that way you don't destroy their confidence.

I realize it's still only 23 games, but..

- 22 years old
- 1st year making the team out of camp
- currently 13th in League Scoring (6th among centres)
- One of the best TOI/G in the league (If not the best)

And his ceiling according to many people is still "A good 2nd line centre".
I think people really do not understand how hard it is to put up points in this league, if he could sustain his point production minus a 20% drop off, he would still be a 1st line center in the NHL.

Nazem Kadri

23GP 9G 14A 23P, +12

He is playing amazing right now. He's the reason why the Leafs are winning games when our first line does not appear on the score sheet

Carlyle knows a thing or two about developing forwards, I am fine with what he said.

Kadri needs to continue playing at this level because expectations start increasing when he shows that kind of talent.

IMO, He's going to get a 70-75 point forward IMO, with a few 80 point seasons. Love that he's doing so great from the 3rd line.

So you hate the player then? If you like him show some respect and pronounce his name correctly. You liking it is one thing, but it's also selfish.
