This organization does not deserve the benefit of the doubt when it comes to ANYTHING to do with young talent.

I'll believe Bennett is back tomorrow at Noon when it happens.

Has it been confirmed that Bennett has been assigned to Wilkes Barre?

It's a long drive, it would be a shorter drive to Wheeling.

Thank you both. I remember the Tangradi situation which is why I thought you had to report. It just seems like a weird rule but I guess it makes sense.

Why does he have to drive anywhere? Just stay away from the CEC tonight.

It's not totally unwarranted... Bennett should be in the lineup. Despres and Bortuzzo should be in the lineup. The only reason any of this has to happen is because Mark Eaton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is a top-4 Disco Defenseman.

I know some people (UB44, for one) will roll their eyes, but I didn't want to lose Boychuk if it was avoidable, either. Thought he might be able to provide something next season (and they will need to keep as many cheap options available to them moving forward).

But hey, MARK EATON.

Damn you and your quick quoting!

Seriously though, I don't disagree with you that Despres/Bortuzzo shouldn't be sitting for Eaton. I don't like it. That said, Eaton did look fine against MTL the other night and my guess is they're just trying to get him some game action since it's been so long. If he has to fill in for injuries, better to spot him a game or two now than let him get more and more rusty. If it becomes an ongoing thing I'll have a much bigger issues with it.

Still, the aforementioned histrionics were pretty much off the charts.

Some clown on 93.7 the fan said Boychuk was not waived and Bennett was sent down instead. Guess he was wrong.

It wasn't but SS seemed like the only one that kept his cool and figured it while a lot of us overreacted. Eyes of Orpik seemed to figure it out right away too.

Here's the time something very similar happened to Tangradi. http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...823902&page=18

Penguins have a scheduled day off Wednesday, so it's conceivable Bennett wouldn't be officially recalled until Thursday

It's refreshing to see the board was just as theatrical two and a half years ago.

Nah, not necessary. I stand by what I said, I just thought after the fact that it may come off as more snarky and less jokey than it was intended.

There are enough legitimate concerns about the team that we can do without the fanbase manufacturing one more, heh.

Thank god he'll be coming out. For a moment I seriously thought that Kennedy was going to get a chance over Bennett.

So, Bennett will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, nice.

Despres will join him if he has a bad shift tonight. Oh and I wouldn't be feeling too comfortable if I were Dustin Jeffrey right about now.

As for Tyler Kennedy and Tanner Glass, lounge chairs are in order.
