The trade is
Ilya Bryzgalov, Phi G 107points so far this season
Brent Burns*, SJ D (IR) 1.2points so far this season
Erik Johnson, Col D (DTD) 5.5points so far this season

in return for

Thomas Vanek, Buf LW (DTD) 93.7 points so far this season
P.K. Subban, Mon D 42.3 points so far this season
Joni Pitkanen, Car D (DTD) 19 points so far this season
Semyon Varlamov, Col G 84.4 points so far this season

This is essentially a swap of even goaltenders in worth, and dropping Vanek, Subban and Pitkanen for players who are worth less then 30 FA's who are available.
I was thinking about that as well actually, I just don't want to come off as a dick about it. I made what I thought to be a pretty solid future trade, considering that it is very unlikely that I make the playoffs.

Is there a way that we can include draft picks in trades for future seasons?

I played against OHIO the last 2 weeks and I'm pretty sure he's not playing. He was playing injured players and had vacant roster spots.

I'm guessing it was Hammer Slammer that already vetoed the trade and I don't blame him. I think there was some miscommunication and Ohio proposed it with the wrong idea. I've offered him what I feel is a fair proposal.

I have no idea who Big Trouba in Little China is on here (I've put my team name under my username to make this thread a little simpler) but I wanted to say nice pickup on Fehr. I'd been watching him for awhile as his minutes have increased but missed that he broke out against Boston. It's good to see him doing well - you couldn't help but feel for him last year when he re-hurt his shoulder and was visibly upset as he left the ice.

Yeah that's me I'm starting to wish the Jets resigned him this year

I've been trying to find a replacement for Stephen Weiss since he's been shut down for the year with a wrist injury

Any word on if we're changing the keeper amount to five or six or w/e. If not, I may have some players available.

Also, woul like to know of we can acquire draft picks via trade or not.

If we can decide on a concrete keeper amount, I'll consider changing it if enough are cool with it. I'll put up a poll on the league site later.

We can't trade draft picks in the first season, only beginning in season 2. I can't change that, just an ESPN thing.

That stinks. If possible, I'd like to do 5.

Bumping this since the poll is up. I voted 6 since I think it's a happy medium between our current system, which puts too little emphasis on keepers, and 8, which I feel downplays the draft too much.

As for the trade deadline (Apr 3), can we make trades in the offseason? For instance if you've got more than 4 guys who could realistically all be good keepers and another team has only a few solid keepers, would you be able to trade some of them after this year but before the draft for a higher end keeper?

I voted five because I really don't want to try as find another keeper and it keeps the draft interesting. Six not so much.

I have trade offers out to Crash Test Domi, Project Imagination, and West Kildonan Narwhales, are any of those managers active?

I've updated my trade block and somewhat tentatively set my keepers. I could really use a RW in case of injuries (no spares). I have C and D to spare. J. Staal/Getzlaf/Bergeron are not off the table if fair value is coming back.

Also if anyone wants a crack at Burns before I put him on waivers (probably), send me an offer with whoever you'd likely drop. I haven't seen a single update on his latest injury so I have no idea what's happening with him and I don't need extra D.

Crash Test Domi just updated his trade block a couple days ago. PJI seems semi-active based on their transaction log (nothing since Feb 25). Narwhales have nothing since Jan 16.

I'm Crash Test Domi's. All HF names and team names are in post #1 if you want to PM or anything. I took a look at the proposal and don't know if I'm interested. I'd need to drop to make room for the 2 extra forwards and I don't want to do that (picked up too many goalies while Kipper was injured).

When I get home maybe I'll send a counter-proposal.

Apparently Burns is back Glad I didn't drop him. Feel free to make an offer for Burns (not selling low though), Bieksa or E. Johnson.

Freaking Glencross! unbelievable lol. I'm missing Perry as well. I've had some luck go my way earlier but I'm not liking how this week is going.

Still two days left.

I still remember when I was kicking your ass all week and then you pulled that fifty point night out on your ass with that Montreal/Toronto game.

I forgot that was against you. Grabovski and Prust had so many PIM that night for me that it amounted to a hattrick's worth of points. Like I said, I've had some luck go my way earlier

What you don't like that trade or something? I think it's fair.

I'm regretting not grabbing Conacher when I had the chance.

Wow, my team did nothing this week, except Brown was great actually. Pavelec and (oddly enough) Glencross were huge for you.

If I can win my next two match-ups, I can still make the playoffs and I'd have to win against the Isotopes regardless of what happened this week.
