The honey badger for Brendan Gallagher is literally the most perfect nickname for a person I've ever heard.

The top 3 rookie scorers to this point are physical giants. I just think it's funny given the size obsession so many on this board have.

1) Cory Conacher is listed at 5'8". He's closer to DD's size (5'5") than that.

2) Jonathan Huberdeau comes in at 6'1" and a hulking 177 lbs.

3) Gallagher is listed at 5'9". What's he run in reality? 5'7"?

That +12 really stands out, doesn't it? That has to have an impact on deciding the Calder.

3	Brendan Gallag	MTL	R	18	6	7	13	+12	19	0	0	2	0	46	13.0	12:11	18.3	25.0
4	Justin Schultz	EDM	D	21	5	8	13	-6	4	4	0	1	0	47	10.6	22:41	26.6	0.0

That and 4 less GP really stands out to me, although he needs to be at least within a point or two of Conacher if he wants to win it.

Also impressive that the only other rookie to be +, and by a LOT, is one Alex Galchenyuk. Go Habs!

Also, consider that he has the least amount of ice time as well and it's more impressive
