Yeah I never understood this sentiment. Oh well I guess we'll find out soon enough. TB could be a real good team with a few tweaks but they're not going to do anything IMO giving up the number of goals that they do.

Can someone remind me how TB has fallen since their conference finals in 2011?

Is Toronto *that* good?

I just can't see why their defense is any good. Or their goaltending. Reimer had his posts save him these last couple of games. Kadri scores a very ugly goal tonight. Just seems like everything is going too well.

They do have to play against Boston this week though.

Reimer played pretty well tonight but was quite poor his previous game against the Islanders. Leafs didn't look very good today. They managed like 10 shots over the first 40 minutes. It was pretty much one player that carried the leafs to a win tonight - that player being Johan Hedberg ofc.

We should trade Plekanec (and a pick) for him.

Their schedule was pretty easy recently, I would love for them to lose the last 3 games they have this week against Ottawa, Boston and Pittsburgh.

Well, at least not only Price is having a hard time lately.

Rinne, which almost everyone put in front of Price, is having a disastrous night so far.

4 goals in 9 shots n the third period against the Kings.

19 goals in his last 4 games +2 periods.

Going by the standards we hold to Price, I guess Rinne is an average goalie.

Problem with Nashville is that Rinne basically needs to get a shutout for them to win.

True but my point was that top 5 goalies in the league have bad moments too. 4 out his last 5 starts.

L.A.: 5 GA - SV% .615
ANA: 5 GA - SV% .762
DAL: 4 GA - SV% .833
DET: 4 GA - SV% .852

This is not for bashing Rinne, he's a great goalie, I'm just saying some people only think Price is shaky and is the only have to have bad moments.

Nashville is in 11th place in spite of having played 23 games, more than any other western conference team.

Their problem is they can't score goals. They average 1.90 goals per game, the worst in the NHL. Second worst is Ottawa with 2.04 and they are missing Spezza and Karlsson. The median offense in the NHL is 2.71 goals per game.

They have Sergei Kostitsyn as a 1st liner. No offense against SK74, I like him, but on the Habs he would be a 3rd liner.

They really should have kept Andrei Kostitsyn and Alexander Radulov.

People aren't giving any respect to the Habs either.

They are holding their breath to see us come down crashing, just like many of us are waiting for Toronto's as well. We refuse to see what they are doing right.

Maybe we should give them credit where credit is due. That would be an epic playoff series.

Toronto is getting goaltending and they're able to score without sacrificing defense like they've had to do for the past few years.

Luck is being 4-0 to start the season. 23 games into the season, this isn't luck for Toronto. They have a system and they're playing like a team. Let's face it, Theye good this year. They should make the playoffs, but at this point even the Habs could miss the playoffs.

They've also weathered significant injuries to Lupul and Frattin, and should be buoyed by the return of these players.

Looking at advanced stats though, the Leafs have been REALLY lucky this year.

I really don't get the hate towards Crosby and Malkin, man when the Habs aren't playing that's the only other team I wanna watch play, incredible stuff happens in every game. That 3rd period was a clinic from both players, could have scored 7-8 goals

And what Crosby has done to Kunitz, 3rd scorer in the league!!!

I'd rather face Theodore than Markstrom. Markstrom is a beast.

I'm already sort of dreading Desjardins possibly in net on Saturday.

And I'm sure Max wouldn't have been unhappy to see Ward again.

The Leafs are 14-9 and started last year off at 14-8-2 then their season went downhill. They're definitely improved over last year but when you have Holzer, that Kostka plug and Mark Fraser playing as regulars in your defense I think things will probably fall apart sooner rather than later and once again they'll be fighting to make the playoffs.

3 of their next 10 games are against Boston and 2 are against Pittsburgh, we'll see if they are for real during this stretch.
