Knowing the Stache he will get the standard call up treatment. Get 3-4 games on the fourth line with like 10 minutes of ice, and if he does well, he gets a shot in the top 6.

Cant say I disagree with that style either. Makes the transition easier, and forces the player to play hungry and earn it.

This kid's going to shine. His style of play offensively lends to the type of team we have right now. We've had so many guys miss shots from right in front of the net, get open in the slot and miss the net, etc. He won't be as likely to miss since he has such great scoring skill and puck ability.

Mark Stone will work with the set-up we have right now. He has the skillset for it. As long as we can continue to drag teams into our game (unlike the Montreal game) we will have success. Stone has the hands, sense and size to really contribute to the way we're currently playing.

Hopefully the (rib?) injury is completely behind him. You could tell he was struggling with it all year in the A.

I watched Stone a ton in the dub, and he was missing the net / shooting into the goalies chest more than he ever has before. I think he could've had something like 30 points instead of 21 if he was healthy.

I am a huge Stone homer, but I think hes gonna stick the rest of the year. I think he would even do fine on the 4th with O'Brien (he is our best healthy goal scorer lol…)

Grant was sent down but Michalek should be back soon as well. Might have to send down DD to make room.

In the playoffs he got thrown into the top 6, though his minutes were not top 6. I would say he will make a quick in game transition if there is any offense produced.

I'm pretty sure he broke a finger just cause you were unsure.

He was also suffering from a rib injury. Murray mentioned it in an interview... he said the finger break will give Stone a good chance to heal his ribs and any other ailments.

Hallelujah...some reinforcements. Running this rag-tag collection of forwards has been extremely difficult to watch.

I don't know about that. I think that was special circumstances. For instance just this year Da Costa played about 5 games on the 4th line til he got the 2nd line C spot, and Zib played on the 4th line for about 4 until he got into the top 6. Its just the way Mac rolls.

You sure you aren't talking about Hoffman (broken collarbone)

Richardson said it as well. Apparently Stone has been playing with a cracked rib since October.

With Lundin on IR they probably don't need to send anyone else down. Dizzy has been playing well anyway, not much of a need to send him down at all.

Ouch! Cracked ribs hurt breathing normally, couldn't image what it feel like being winded after a shift!

It also would have had a large impact on his shooting accuracy. Stone was missing the net a lot early this season.
