If Haley fights it will be a good game for him because that's about what we can expect of him

He is an effective forechecker as well. May not have a TON of offense in him but he isn't a black hole either.

Hopefully he can keep that up and we may see the sunset on Stu Bickel.

@AGrossRecord: In 56 games for #CTWhale, Micheal Haley has nine goals, 12 assists, and 158 penalty minutes.

Offensively I am not sure if he is better than Boyle. He has been very effective the last month in Hartford. Not an overly large guy but he is seriously tough. Will not back down from anyone.

Some will some wont..I have no prob with him taking a nasty penalty..We have become so bland and vanilla I can't take it anymore...Last year I loved knowing going into a game we had 4 guys who could throw down, maybe not the best, but were willing...This year we are soft and still not scoring much...If we're gonna be soft at least score some goals!

Of course he's better than Boyle offensively.

But Boyle has got more...

Of course Boyle would be Apricot Jam.

That doesn't even sound pleasant.

When Haley was with the Islanders he reminded me of George McPhee...Little guy huge heart who throws with bad intentions.

Boyle just needs to be relegated to the 4th line. He's an ideal 4th line center. Torts has just played him on upper lines so we expect more out of him.

If Richards is out tonite he might be playing the 2nd line instead. Hope they go with Miller at 1C, but you never know with Torts.

If Richards is out I hope they go with something like

Hagelin - Miller - Nash
Pyatt - Stepan - Calllahan
Powe - Halpern - Gaborik
Haley - Boyle - Bickel

Who becomes the 4th Center with Richards out?

Stepan, Boyle, Halpern, __?

Maybe Miller gets a shot?

My guess:

Hagelin-Stepan-Nash
Pyatt-Powe-Callahan
Miller-Boyle-Gaborik
Haley-Halpern-Bickel

Agree. Haley should play either way. Since it's the Flyers I would even consider playing him and Bickle and sitting Boyle.

Last edited by Bardof425*: 03-05-2013 at 12:19 PM. Reason: No need to sit Boyle. We have 12 forwards with him.

Haley can play C, so can Powe. My guess would be Miller tho.

My guess

Hags Stepan Nash
Pyatt Miller Cally
Powe Boyle Gaborik
Haley Halp Bickle

I would swap Boyle and Halp but Torts won't. Amazing how ugly it looks with Richie out of there.

Yeah, I would guess something like this.

I'd swap Pyatt and Gaborik and not give the third line a single offensive zone faceoff.

Hopefully Richards doesn't feel sore by game time. I'm not sure if Torts gives Miller 2nd line Center responsibility but we'll see. We are so lacking offensive centers.

I'll bet he does, but doesn't give him much, if any, defensive zone starts.

Are you gonna link them separately at game time? I want to try again tonight. I uppsed my buffer cache significantly, but was still getting stutter at 2500 ms.
