Nyr - mtl

To MTL:

Brian Boyle

To NYR:

Yannick Weber

Rangers need defensive depth, especially someone that can shoot the puck on the PP. Boyle gives MTL some much needed size and can help their PK. Plus he can team back up with his BFF Prust.

As a Montreal fan I say absolutely, not sure the rangers go for it though

A 6'7, 250 lb center, 2 years removed from a 20 goal season and 26 points last year. Yes please.

Solid offer but I just don't see the Rangers moving Boyle. Hes an ideal bottom 6 center

We need someone who can play more than 6 minutes a night on the 3rd pairing, not another Matt Gilroy.

MTL would prob have to add a bit. It was just an idea. Maybe my disdain for Boyle is clouding my judgement.

We are looking more and more desperate to get rid of Boyle here. He might piss us off sometimes but he's certainly worth more than a Yannick Weber.

He can play more than 6 minutes a night. This year, he just has zero confidence and is stuck behind Subban, Emelin, Gorges on the right side. He's soft as butter, but could boost your PP. Subban arrival screwed him since Subban is better physically and defensively.

Would the Habs do Boyle for Moen?

Maybe:

Boyle for Moen + 3rd?

Considering Boyle is younger and is a center? Just throwing out ideas.

I'd do Moen + 4th or Weber+ for Boyle.

Yes we would.

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gallagher
Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta
Galchenyuk-Eller-Ryder
Prust-Boyle-White
Armstrong

Good enough for me!

Moen's got a modified NTC, so moving him may be an issue.

Any combination or straight up is fine by me. I'd love to get Boyle.

You're a Rangers fan? When I saw the offer, I expected it to be a homer Habs fan.

As a Hab fan, I take that deal and run before Sather has a chance to sober up.

He is and he's one of the haters of Boyle.

Rangers wouldn't do this at all.

Boyle is an important piece. People just expect more out of him which is fine, but he's extremely valuable.

As a Montreal fan, I would do this. Of course I'd also give Weber for Parros, but my bias is obvious lol

i don't know if montreal does this. Moen is also underrated, and we have depth at center. What happens? White moves to the wing? I preferred the Weber deal, who i also think is underrated and can become mark streit 'lite' lol. he has a cannon like Streit.

i would sweeten it by adding the 4th--weber, 4th for boyle

He plays like he is a 5'7 150lb. (delicate flower), 2 centuries removed from a 20 goal season.

With that said, I don't think this is the trade to make with Boyle.
