I like kosto, but armstrong is going nowhere and I'd rather replace him (when the time comes) with someone younger.

TKO did put up 22pts for us one year.....i will be disappointed if have a chance to snag him,and don't...he is exactually what we need...a team first guy,who hits...will cost habs like like 300,000 to get him......low risk

Wow, FLA can't even trade him.

FLA will have one of Jones, MacKinnon and Drouin. Hopefully re-alignment fails.

Kulikov and Weaver are also out a month. Sheesh.
Last year everything went their way and they got the #3 seed(despite being the 7th or 8th best in the East), this year it's the opposite.

How does he bring anything that we don't currently have in Moen Prust White and Armstrong? He doesn't fit a need, we can only have one 4th line plus he takes up a roster spot and a contract.

If Bergevin is serious about making habs a better team, then he snags Tom off waivers..The 4th line is better with Kostopoulos.

No it's not. He's a washed out 34 years old body who still hadn't got an NHL contract so far up until now, and who adds absolutely nothing in terms of agitating/fighting/hitting that Moen and White can't bring in their current state. Lateral move at best. I'd still rather keep Moen than replacing him with Kostopoulos.

How so?

Having a good team means having all sorts of players. Kosto is in the same mold as Prust Moen and White. He brings nothing taht we need.

I think Armstrong is the one being targeted here.

Even then... I mean, if we're to move one of the guys on the 4th line, it has to be for someone who actually adds some physicality. I just don't see Kostopoulos doing it for us.

+ Armstrong knows the system inside out, great room presence and doesn't take stupid penalties

I would definitely be happy if we got him. Perfect guy who can take a huge load off Prust's shoulders.

We took the Bruins out in2008 with TKO in playoffs.what do you mean TKO isn't physical, did you evenwatch him here

his value to this team goes beyond mere statistics.

Kostopoulos has proved to be the ultimate team player, someone who will cover a teammate's back on and off the ice. And he still has a black left eye, sustained during a fight last week against Boston's Jeremy Reich, to prove it.

"I play physically," said Kostopoulos, with a team-leading 109 penalty minutes. "I use my body to bang and create things. I just want my teammates to know I come to every game prepared and work my hardest. Maybe I don't have the most skillful moves, but I give it my all every game and shift."

How is it for you living in 2008 forever? Is it better than 2013?

Your the one who said he isn't physical...

I asked you if you even watch him play.

Nothing to do with 2008

Luck is being 4-0 to start the season. 23 games into the season, this isn't luck for Toronto. They have a system and they're playing like a team. Let's face it, Theye good this year. They should make the playoffs, but at this point even the Habs could miss the playoffs.
I agree and held the opinion at the start of the season that they were going to be good. They definitely have a system and are very similar to us in that their coach has elevated them to a new level, they have great rookie contribution (Kadri) and can still win while missing key players (Gardiner, Lupul).

I was watching their game against NJ and they were down 2-1. Now, fair enough, Hedberg was crap on the ensuing goals, but they got to the front of the net and found a way to win. Got to give credit where it is due. They could easily pass us if we let off the gas so I hope MT has the team concentrated on repeating the first half of the season and not just coasting at .500 (doubt he would accept that).

There are a lot of players that "help" teams but you can only have 23. Some fans on here want to claim everybody on waivers.

Still going to stand my ground to say that Armstrong is getting unfairly bashed. He is playing on a line that has one purpose only - get the puck deep and keep it there. Goals are gravy and he's come very very close to putting them in based on his own effort. He has a good reach and does get around guys. Like I said - gets the puck deep and I would love to hear examples to support him being the goat. His shot is pretty good. He just needs time to get it off. Not like Max was lighting it up all year. Some players turn it on later and I really think his play will be appreciated more.

Such a fitting handle TKO. I just thinking about this guy fighting. No thanks guys, let's move ahead not backward.
