Next wave of Nashville Predators forward prospects move up mid-season Top 20 ranking

The Nashville Predators have been one of the most consistent teams over the last five years in terms of style of play. Barry Trotz and David Poile always put a team on the ice that has a defense-first mentality, and the system that the Milwaukee Admirals employ develops players that fit this mold perfectly. Homegrown players like Jonathon Blum, Roman Josi, and Gabriel Bourque have successfully made the transition from prospect to full time NHL player, and there are other players, such as Ryan Ellis, that are looking to make that jump soon as well.

While the Predators organization has successfully developed grinding, two-way forwards and defensemen, they are now looking at having some players deeper in the prospect pool that will bring offensive flair to the big club when their time comes.… read more

Yeah, looks like we're going to eventually get a lot bigger.

I really want beck, latta and Watson to make it.

It is really concerning about the number of players with skating issues being a problem.

Unfortunately that is a price to pay with most big power forwards, especially young in their careers. I'm sure that the coaching staff of each prospect's respective team is focusing on that, but as you said, that is a cause for concern.

I think it could happen this year depending on how far Minnesota goes. Budish had 2 redshirt years and might actually be done with a degree. Not sure if he wants to go to Milwaukee but He technically has 1 yr left at Minnesota, but he is getting old.

Not with the skating coaches the Preds have. Preds get a lot out of their secondary level coaching. Korn, Perfect skating.

I'm really interested in following Leipsic's career. Have we ever had a prospect score at the rate he is? Why is he not ranked higher? Is it because it's still just the juniors?

radulov scored an unreal amount of points playing for the ramparts in the Q. he was more of a god on that team to its fans then he is in russia.

Mark Santorelli led the WHL in scoring the year after we drafted him. Leipsic should end up better than him, but don't read too much into this title.
