The problem with that would be that the Flyers would likely be looking for a return suitable for a player under contract for multiple years, and the Bruins would be looking to give up a rental cost with the intention of him leaving at the end of the season. Either they'd over pay for a rental or they'd overpay and keep him to justify the cost. Neither is a positive situation.

I'd take a shot on him. He won't make it past the Islanders, though. They love them some waiver pick-ups.

Briere is awful defensively. Not sure why people keep suggesting that he could play on our 3rd line.

They aren't handing out the Selke to Bourque, Pouliot, or Ryder, and their upside wasn't nearly (Ryder excepting) what Briere's is.

those guys are all better than Briere defensively though. Briere is a terrific top 6 guy b/c of his offense, but he just does not fit in a 2-way/checking role IMO.

Anyway I'd still really love to see what it would take to get Kopecky. He would add everything we're looking for in the top 9 right now: size, effort, decent skill and skating, left hand shot, defensively sound...

He's signed for 3+ million beyond this year so you'd have to move someone after this season but IMO that's a good problem to have and I think we could easily trade him or someone else to make room.

There were two at Minnesota-Anaheim last week, probably the same two with another guy joining them. I think Chia is definitely looking for some sort of a move right now.

That or they base their Western Conference Scouts in California to minimize travel, because I think our scouts were also at the Avs games in LA, Ana, and SJ.

Pretty sure a few posters mentioned Washington wanting to be the Bruins before

Quote:
One play he uses to illustrate this theory is Alex Burrows' 11-second overtime winner in Game 2 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final. Watch Andrew Ference off the draw. "He takes two steps, is closed off and has no play," Oates said. He then pointed out something very interesting. Look at Boston's roster now: four left-shooting wings. Four right-shooting wings. Two right-shooting centres. Two left-shooting centres. Three right-shot defencemen. Three left-shot defencemen. (It's true, you can look it up.) That's going to be the blueprint in Washington.

Weiss out for the year so guys can scratch him out for the year. The trip to the bottom is getting easier for the Panthers.

Bruins have 3 rhs centers, Campbell has not been playing center and he is a shell of himself from his Florida days. Swap him for Hendricks in a heart beat.

??? Campbell is pretty good for what we ask for in Boston. center one of the best 4th line of the league, play regular shift on the best PK of the league. hits, fights, put a couple of point here and there.

IMO He can be on the 3rd line with Paille and Perverly if we need saving kelly salary.
