I'm baffled about why Henrik Lundqvist's puckhandling just has not gotten any better. Is he the worst puckhandler of all starters?

I changed the channel for a second to see the Isles-Habs game, Gionta scored on the PP, and of course there was some loud harpy going off in the background.

Bryz for Gabby's center. He just gave Gabby the nicest pass he's received all year.

Do you think Bryz ponders why the space between his ears is so humungous big?

interesting you mention him because Christensen is more of a puck handler/ comfortable holding onto the puck than any other centres Gaborik played with in NY. I think that really drove his success with Christensen.

The guy is an amazing finisher, but that being said, he would perform much more consistently if his linemates were more creative and better at holding onto the puck. Richards is awful in this regard. He is a great passer, but he is not the type to play to thrive on holding onto the puck.

For example:
I think Gaborik would struggle with Stamkos.
I think he would put up 50 with the Sedins.
He would struggle with Jeff Carter.
He would thrive with Datsyuk.
He would struggle with Mike Richards, Ryan Kesler, or anyother player who doesn't thrive off holding onto the puck and making space/drawing defenders. He likely won't thrive consistently with slow players either.

He absolutely needs a Datsyuk, Malkin, Kopitar, Ribeiro, Sedin(s), Giroux type player.
I was saying this the other day. He needs someone to create his chances for him, by drawing defenders away from him and leaving him with a chance to shoot. He's obviously never going to be able to split defenders like Nash, Datsyuk and Malkin and he's incredibly weak on the puck. I mean, the guy has 2 40 goal seasons in New York so the team is obviously better with him than without him, you don't just turn over a rock and find 40 goal scorers. Unfortunately though, he's incredibly inconsistent and that never bodes well when you play for a team in New York.
