It was good, but not sure it will even be top 5 when the season is done.

Basically summed up the entire game. Bruins sit on their ass, let him come up the ice, break through 2 defensemen, and score an incredible goal.

You should edit the title, but yes it was great. Definitely thread worthy.

Not sure about goal of the year, but that was great.
For anyone who didn't see it, he split the defense and then roofed the shot while being hit/falling.

Tough to compare, very different goals. Both are certainly threadworthy, so no real need to compare.

It's what everyone thought Fehr would be. He looks like a completely new player now that he's healthy.
Goal was a beaut.

Not GOTY but it was a beauty. The fact that it was in OT doesn't hurt either.

Cody's was better AINEC. Stole the puck away from Staal, out maneuvered 4 of the Canes players, and finished. Fehr got a pass in stride at the blue line and was able to split two defenders and score. Very good play but the Hodgson goal was waaaaaaaaay better.

Fehr has played great this year. The guy finally doesn't seem limited by bum shoulders.
And that goal was at least the 3rd goal tonight the Caps scored on Rask glove side top shelf. Guess Rask's glove aint to good.

Personally I find roofing the puck while in mid air more impressive than some toe drags that we see every night.

It was sick but I thought Hodgson was a bit better. Hodgson was all individual effort by coming back, taking the puck away from E.Staal, does a slick little move around a player, skating up, makes a nice toe drag around a defender and finishing it with a nice shot.

lotsa nice goals this year so far.
Fehr, Malkin, Kadri, Nash, Datsyuk all have some spectacular ones that come to mind.
might be time to start a "midseason best goal of the year bracket" thread.

Lol nice goal but nothing special.
And yes, Malkin's goal was twenty times better.
