Oh, and by the way... this "Oiler Hockey" brand we've been peddling since the late 90s? I hate it.

"Oiler Hockey" isn't synonymous with winning hockey. It hasn't since 1990.

Get rid of it.

It's pretty depressing when you are glad that the season is shortened.

I really think things could turn on him if they slip farther in the standings. Another bottom 5 finish and I could see Tambo being "re-assigned" to another job.

I guess it baffles me the most looking at the BJ's. This is their 2nd year of the rebuild, and after trading away Nash, their team is giving 110% effort more nights than not. For the most part, their board hates the talent level, but love the amount of effort.

How the ****, are we 3 1st overall picks in and we're still putting this sort of effort in. This road trip has been an abomination so far, and with Detroit and Nashville coming up back to back, I'm not sure how confident I am in the ability of this team.

There is a very real possibility that we're sitting 15th in the West by the end of this trip. Which is absolutely pathetic.

I'm done with that. Obviously 4 coaches in a row tell you there's something else wrong. Management doesn't have any understanding of the concept of "grit" and "compete", and how valuable it is to a professional hockey player. They keep ignoring it for other qualities, and look how that keeps turning out. The only guy with grit and compete is Hall, but what's he supposed to do all by himself?

These guys need to learn to detect a Paajarvi in the making long before he's a 4th liner tweener who won't finish his hits or go near the net. They need to recognize the softness early and dump the soft semi-skilled players onto other unsuspecting teams while the player still has value. Tambo/Lowe are incapable of this. They've proven it. I don't need to elaborate, it's a very well established fact.

Management has to go. You can't argue with the results anymore. There's no hope until there's change.
This is how I feel. Krueger can't be to blame. He is the most inspirational and motivational coach we've had yet and they still play like ****.

But I think it's the players that have to go along with management

This is because they have a coach that is able to pull in the reigns and actually control his players. That, and a coach that understands hockey.

Shall we plaster the Oilers Twitter feed with #FireTambo and #FireLowe?

At least we only have to watch 26 more games of unorganized, unmotivated hockey.
Then we have 6 months until we have to watch it all over again.

Katz will give Tambellini at least another summer.

This team is a joke. I've already written off yet another season. My wife was gonna get me tickets to the Oilers game in Vancouver next month, and i flat out told her, don't bother wasting the money as i don't want to pay to watch this embarrassing crap in person

Eberle has a messed up finger, I'm not completely absolving him from missing those two shots, but both him and Hall looked far from 100% tonight. Hall did not have his normal explosiveness tonight either.

Guys, I'm done. I love the Oilers, I love hfboards.

But I honestly have better things to do than to waste my time and money with this franchise. We'll see what happens in the offseason but unless there's some kind of shakeup this year, I'm done.

I don't even think it's Krueger's fault. I see a team that is used to losing and it's toxic. The team is clearly mailing it in,they have no consequences for their actions. I give Krueger credit for benching Smyth and Whitney but it hasn't helped.

You also wonder how good a job Horcoff is doing as captain. He could be leading the troops even if he can't play.

I'd be happy with a season of development and effort, but it's the setbacks with the young players and the total lack of effort and accountability in the entire organization that just makes this an energy suck for me.

So bad. Dumpster fire. Embarrassing.

At least Oil Kings playoffs are soon.

I recommend going to a few of those to keep some sanity. That team is actually exciting and a much better bang for your buck.
