OT: Just bought a new Cobalt SS Coupe!

Just leased a new 2006 2 door Chevrolet Cobalt SS for 350/month tax included for 48 months. 171 HP, good handling, 17 inch wheels, subwoofer, mp3 player, abs brakes...you get the drift! And those audio buttons on the steering wheel are pretty cool too. The car is victory red...beautiful color!

I finally was able to log back in to hfboards today after so many months and got the car too this is such a great day Great posting on the habs forum again!!

Well ... to be frank great car as long as it<s going back to the dealer when the lease is over ...

if its staying home .. I would suggest returning it in 30 days and running to your Toyota dealer to get a Corolla ...

I have a friend who had to learn it the hard way with Chevrolet, GM etc ......

Last winter he bought a new Impala ( employee special they were having )

2 transmissions later and a hyperactive rear <<zone >> Air conditioning he now owns A Camry and thanking god he got 10 000 for the Impala ...

take my advice ... if its a << rental >> good

never ever purchase american unless its a Buick ( check JD Power ) best american car reliability wise

I think that was his point. He will get to buy back for realy realy cheap but still I sure would have picked the new Honda civic SI

I have been a Honda person always and see North American autos as inferior and would recommend Honda and Toyota to anyone one their looking for a great car with a great re-sale value too.

yeah, my father just bought a new 2007 Camry SE + leather (sporty seats, piqué leather). The car is awesome. He bought the L4 since the engine has adequate power and it is a really low gas consumption.

LOL noone wants to answer the question. I test drove the cobalt SS and thought the suspension was really soft and didn't like it, but that's just me. I like a really tight car where you can feel the road. Just tell me you bought it with a standard transmission. (A "sports car" isn't a sports car without one)

Looks like the SS s a fun car to drive for not too expensive, but as the other says, it s fun as lomg as it s under guaranty and you give it back after

it is...i've driven one for couple of hundreds kms....it's kinda small but you fell the power...the thing i hate is the cheep plastic interior....cost saving...it sucks...

but overall it's fun to drive

My car have been stoled last month and I have to buy a new one but I have to stay with pontiac... I like the vibe but no power at all. 2nd choice is the G5 pursuit but same problem as the cobalt, no space to but something big in the trunk...

I finnally bought a pursuit full equiped, pretty good deal cuz my insurance is paying part of it and I have a rebate because I'm working for a division of Alcan... Supposed to pick it up tomorrow!
