Just had a random thought that I don't see happening, but with the whole O'Reilly/Duchene deal, I guess stuff like this does happen. I'd assume the Blues will want Shattenkirk to make less than Pietrangelo, but with the way their stats are so far, it is hard to see a case for making Shattenkirk take much less. I wonder if they will run into an issue like the Avs did with not wanting to pay O'Reilly more than Duchene. It'll be interesting to see how close their two contracts are.

Some players are much older/younger than what you think.

Hiller is 31 years old.
Gagne is 33 years old.
Kopitar is 25 years old.

How's Jason Garrison doing with Vancouver? Offensively, he isn't doing much to warrant a 4.6M cap hit.

Habs - Pens is a great game. Both teams are relentless in their puck pursuit.

Habs get a goal early in the 3rd period to take a 5-4 lead, then Penguins score twice to take the lead 6-5.

Gionta ties it right after Crosby's goal to tie it at 6. Some great defense in this game.

Price didn't look good.

Also I Hughson is a great announcer, but there is no way I can listen to him when it deals with the Canucks. Two Canucks hook Williams to ground and Simpson said they were lucky not to get called there, with Hughson commenting that Kings are lucky it wasn't call on them, because he went down pretty easy there. Terrible. :

Their current five LWs: Hendricks, Fehr, Chimera, Wolski, Volpatti. Chimera's the only one who managed to secure a contract worth more than $1M.

I don't think he's get nearly as much power play time in Vancouver that he did in Florida, which is kind of surprising to me. I'd think they'd want him on the point alongside Edler.

From what I understand (haven't seen a lot of the Canucks this year) he's been a bit of a disappointment, but not terrible by any means. One thing's for sure--Florida sorely misses him.

They'll draft Nichuskin, soo many 1st rounders and nothing to show for it. Yet, people still thinking tanking automatically results into championships.

Hard to win when your goalie plays like Hedberg has.

Also, remember how huffy Devils fans became when you suggested Parise had something to do with Henrique's and Zajac's on ice success?

Its not all on Hedberg tho, their defense has been pretty crappy during this slump.

As for Henrique and Zajac well the latter was injured most of last year, you cant expect him to come back full force. Not sure about Adam, I still think both should be 2way 60 poibt centres with parise.

Predictably, Winnik has fallen back down to earth. No goals in 16 games.

Scoring was never what made him an NHLer. I still like the trade, but man, Wilson should be fired for letting him walk.
