I don't even think it's Krueger's fault. I see a team that is used to losing and it's toxic. The team is clearly mailing it in,they have no consequences for their actions. I give Krueger credit for benching Smyth and Whitney but it hasn't helped.

You also wonder how good a job Horcoff is doing as captain. He could be leading the troops even if he can't play.

I'd be happy with a season of development and effort, but it's the setbacks with the young players and the total lack of effort and accountability in the entire organization that just makes this an energy suck for me.
Well said.

I took all of the money that I would normally spend on Oilers tickets last year, and put it towards Oil Kings tickets.

I haven't looked back.

So my girlfriend has gotten Blues vs. Oilers tickets for us to watch but I'm going to see if I can get Oil Kings tickets instead.

They may put an effort in.

This invariably all falls on the management. We have the worst team in the league for 3 years running yet we keep promoting from within. It makes no sense.
Enough with the coaching hate. This is about personnel pure and simple - Toe Blake couldn't get this roster of gutless wimps to transform into a winning team. The make-up of this team is clearly imbalanced. Too many small skilled forwards, too many useless and gutless vets, not enough crust, pure and simple.

*cough* Montreal Canadiens *cough*

Yeah. The coaches shouldn't take any of the blame.

We couldn't beat the Columbus Blue Jackets. Let that sink in.

Now replace that statement with Edmonton Oilers and it's the same feeling for teams we beat. It's how you can tell we truly suck.

At least we only have to watch 26 more games of unorganized, unmotivated hockey.
Who put Krueger where he is? Who put this (crap) team together? Who refuses to address the glaring needs of this team on the ice?

Everything eventually leads back to management, and specifically, Tambellini.

Yeah, Eberle blew a good chance to win it at the end. But the huge aspect that I think many people are missing, is that it shouldn't have got to that point to begin with. If we can't handle a crap team like the BJ's in regulation, especially when this was a very important game and the best chance to get back to ".500", then there are some huge issues in the lineup, like a lack of vets who can step up on the top lines and pot an important goal. It shouldn't come on the shoulders of guys who are barely 20. This is just common sense, but apparently not to Tambo.

What a pathetic team, with a group of pathetic hockey players run by a pathetic coaching staff all headed by the most incompetent pathetic sad sack group of losers in the history of the NHL.
Pretty much nailed it.

Heres the Oilers org getting rid of losing culture:

We're playing the most hopeless team in the league by a country mile and we're playing a "lets just stay in this thing and see if we can eke out a point" type uninspired road game.

Columbus is horrible. We should be coming at them in waves and exposing them for what they are on every shift.

Instead we play a game content to keep it close knowing apparently that if we're tied at the end of two its guaranteed loss time...I think we're 0-7 when tied after two periods. epic clutch problems.

Haha I feel sorry for you guys because you still care.

Glad they lost the shootout. Enough with undeserved wins. I feel bad for Dubey, he is actually showing up night in night out and his team just continues to lay eggs.

Anisimov looked signifigantly better than any player on our roster...Something doesn't add up.

no one on the team shoots also... toe drag is the first option . ..And there times where someone should be fore-checking.. instead we have 2 guys looking at each other to see if the other will go in. I have been positive all season at this point i feel like i am getting a big slap in the face with the lack of effort night after night.

If we finish at the bottom again, Tambo's job definitely must be on the line. Kruger perhaps will get another chance, but Tambo pretty much has to go.
