3rd period Myers is what we need more of. Yeah he was covering Semin on the goal, but that was just a great shot. But he was moving his legs more than he has at any point this season. He was looking not to reach, or pass...he was skating. That's his best asset...if he can build on that and use his legs more, he's going to get back to his rookie year form.

Thought he was good in the Rags game, but not tonight. It's fine that people disagree. Didn't see much from him tonight, that's all. Just not one of his better games, IMO.

Agreed. Love his smarts, attitude and work ethic. He'll keep putting the work in and get better and better. I couldn't be more excited to have him on the Sabres.

Agreed. He looked great in the 3rd period. Not sure what the hell changed in the 2nd intermission.

That goal was vintage Semin. He's made a lot of good goaltenders look silly with that sling snapshot. As soon as he cocked it, i had a bad feeling. Best in the game with that type of shot from a standstill.

G: RJ's call on Semin when we had Miller pulled...something along the lines that he is at the Sabres blueline wanting to score another goal, he could care less if his teammates are scored on

-cody is becoming my new favorite sabre. absolutely sick goal. too little too late, but wow.
-mikhail is flourishing when given more opportunities. makes the bums on his line appear effective.
-big tyler with some coast to coast dangles. didn't see him make any real big gaffes like normal.
-flynn. does he stick? really like him in a 3rd or 4th line role.
-tj needs to get more shots like those on net.

B:
-forgettable game for mr. miller.
-hate to say it, but this team really needs ville.
-i hate kevin porter.

U:
whoever took a puck to the head in the crowd.

For the most part I've seen most of them have nothing but praises for the kid. Only Steve Bennett and a couple others are truly butt hurt. Steve Bennett mostly.

I think your trying to fuel a long dead fire. No need trying to grab at these straws. 99% of Canucks fans who comment on Hodgson now have well wishes for the kid.

Collection Ugly:
- Sabres 3rd worst GA in league
- 3rd worst shots/game in league
- Yet, Miller still 13th amongst starters for Save %

why does it always work out that as soon as we score they let one right in too? how are we ever supposed to keep a lead or maintain momentum if they slack off after scoring and allow one by them?

completely agree. i said "goal" a moment before he released it.

i was baffled when most on this board wanted nothing to do with him in the offseason when he was a free agent.

stereotypes

Don't forget that once Ville found a stable line-mate, he was playing better.

That and the training camp he had with Grigs were leaving people a lot more hopeful for him.

Did Porter really have more ice time than Weber?

The dude came to Buffalo from an offensively stacked Philly team and played one season under Lindy Ruff. On top of that, they expected him to play center. Don't write him off yet. He has talent.

Can you honestly tell me you wouldn't want Leino in the lineup over Porter? Flynn? Hell, Stafford?

So was I. He's great offensively, good defensively, and he possesses the puck. There's three problem areas addressed right there with one acquisition.

I remember most of the board wanting him actually but DR had no interest

Wasn't that at the very end of last season when the last couple games didn't matter to the opponent being played? For some reason that jumps out at me.

Far be it from the Sabres board to be against a player for perceived attitude though. They'd never settle for a lesser player in exchange. No sir.
