If anything HE is covering for PK not the other way around.

I'd like to have Weber but you won't get him for 1 year and 1.5 mil. It's nice to aim high but you also have to consider what you have to spend.

Even as a rental it isn't too bad because we give up Gio and his 5 mill salary, Moen that is expendable a low first and Leblanc that is being glued to the bench.
I'd do that trade in an instant. Low 1st, tradebait Gionta, replaceable Moen and decent prospect Leblanc - SOLD.

I'm not talking about Shea Weber, I'm talking about soon-to-be UFA Douglas Murray or someone equivalent. Also, at the deadline we'll have room to add someone if we move some salary around.

I think if you ask the coaching staff they'll tell you Bouillon brings the "steady" to Subban's game, not the other way around.

Why would San Jose trade Murray? If they are willing to dump him then he sucks because if he is that good that he can upgrade our top 6 he would be a key part of theirs...SJ will be a "buyer" not a "seller".

I remember when people were saying the same thing about Komisarek "covering" Markov.

There is a reason every def who play with Subban look good. Last game, Bouillon looked a lot less solid without PK.

Bouillon is doing and OK job, but there is no question we could improve at the blue line, and him and Emelin (as much as I love Emelin), would be the first D-man on the list too replace.

Have you been banned from the trade forum ?

You do realize you saying it's not that bad means the Ducks wouldn't want that at all.

Plekanec the forgotten team leader gets #20,000.Turns out it was Gionta with the Habs third goal.

To Washington: Carey Price, 2nd round draft pick.

To Montreal: Braden Holtby, Niklas Backstrom.

Backstrom, Plekanec, DD, Eller, Galchenyuk? Why would you want to get a center? That's not really our need now.

You rather have Holtby to be our first goalie rather than Price?

Would pick Bakstrom vs Price without a tought.

You can then trade Plek,DD or Eller+ a prospect for a solid goalie.

I'd rather have Ben Scrivens as our #1 than Price, right now.

I'm trying to keep my cool here and not laugh at you because it might be disrespectful but I just want to see what kind of fan you are and how much you know about the game but you would really trade Price straight up for Scrivens?

took one look at the avatar... then a look over to my 3-year old's play area... and any urge to point out the stupidity of the post vanished and replaced with the "ahhh isn't that cute" sentiment toddlers provide when they say/do silly things.

Scivens... that's cute!

What would be the purpose of trading Price, the face of this franchise.

And then trade players that we developed for a goalie?

What does that bring to the team except destroying the lockeroom?

Are you guys 12 yr old and played too much NHL games?

This is not how the team is build. You don't trade your number one goalie, one of the best in the league after 3-4 bad games. Rinne just let in 20 goals in 4 games aswell, I don't think Preds fans are stupid enough to trade him.

I think you are taking thing a little bit too much seriously. This thread is only speculation, nobody here have an impact on the GM choice. Majority of the trade proposition on this thread are laughable and have no chance of being ever discussed between Bergevin and another NHL GM.

This is only hypothetical talk, and yes, on paper, I would trade Price for Backstrom and than trade one of our centre for a goalie.

Koivu had a much bigger impact in the locker room than Price and you know what happened. Of course Price is not gonna be traded for at least the next 3 years, particularly because fans love him so much and because he was a 5th rank draft.

But there is no reason to get buthurt just because we are talking about Price value for the fun of it.

You do realize that trading a 2nd to Washington with Price is just the waste of a draft pick because Price would improve their standings position?

Nah, of course not.

Hey, I got a trade:

To Montreal
Peace of Mind

To another franchise
Over reactionary knee jerk fans

Should the Habs trade Tinordi if the price is right (top forward prospect)? I say this because Edmonton needs defense and maybe the habs can snatch one of their top young forwards. I saw on twitter today an analysis of Tinordi, and they compared him to Adam Foote. Do you guys think that is fair? I always thought he had more Offensive potential than that.

Gotta dump Kaberle first so he can get his #22. I'd love Clutterbuck. All about being tough to play against.

A lot of revisionist history.

Markov was genuinely helping Komisarek, and Komisarek was genuinely helping Markov. They were both better players in 2008 than they are now.

I remember in late 2008, Komisarek (still on Markov's wing) was frequently out of position and making bad plays, I thought it was just a slump, then Lucic beat him up, then ... ummmmm.... then Toronto.

The Habs should trade just about the entire team if "the price is right".

And for Tinordi, the right price is a high price. He's showing promising growth in the AHL, which follows having shown promising growth in the Q. He can soon fulfill a need, effective and physical shutdown duty, that no other player on either the current NHL roster or our prospects has any hope of fulfilling as well, except Subban obviously.
