I think he will go to Tampa bay, mostly cause no one else picked them.

But he might fit in there, its warm. He is probably sick of cold winters.

I guess I missed Liles signing ... good for Avs. But there still isnt much room to manouver under the 44M cap -> http://hockeyanalysis.com/?page_id=335

I heard he wanted 3M (and I seriously heard that)

Bold guess would be to Colorado, to be with Hejduk (they both burned the czech league during the lockout)
Washington could also have the crazy idea of trying to take back that bad trade they did for Linden some years ago and sign Bulis.

Good luck !!!

Not that he would have gotten it in the first place, but to top it all, the teams that had money already spent it.

But hey ! Jeff Halpern got 8 millions for 4 years.

Update: I remember reading somewhere that Bulis' agent said that some teams were waiting to see the arbitration results regarding their players before making offers to Bulis....

...if Briere's case ($5M/year - which is overpaid in my own opinion - $3.5 would have been more accurate, and some adjustment next year if he maintain the cap) is any indication of the arbitration future results... looks like some team will walk away and try to sign Bulis on the cheap.

Jan Bulis

What is soo wrong with this guy? I personally like him.. i mean he is fast, good penalty killer and he is good offensively and i still think he will get better.. 20 goals 20 assists is pretty good IMO.. so is he definetely gone from MTL now?

He wanted to play on the top two lines, when his spot was clearly as a third liner. Wanted a more offensive role, when he's definitely a defensive, or two-way forward.

Bulis is an ok player. The problem is that he thinks he his a 2nd line player and that he's not.At best Bulis is a 3rd line player. If Bulis would have scored 99% of the open nets/breakaways he had, things would have problably been different

Nothing wrong with him. He's a good hockey player but for some reason the whole world started to hate him because he's "too soft" and would like to be used on an offensive line. I agree he's not a top 6 forward, but he's still 10 times better than Garth Murray...

After some reflection on the matter, Ribeiro would likely post more points than Bulis on our second line, only to have more goals against. On the flip side, I think Ribeiro showed some dedication to defense in the last stretch and COULD improve.

Bulis is a scorer and Ribeiro is a playmaker....

Ask yourself witch center you want with Kovalev and Samsonov.. a scorer or a playmaker??

Bulis take way too many night off and his attitude was the reason the habs won't sign him plus he refuse to play on the third line.

the case is close for Bob Gainey

Bulis doesn't have Ribeiro's vision, and he's not as willing to play in traffic and go into corners as Ribeiro is. Add his suprising newfound primadonna attitude, and it's an easy decision to dump him.

Also, notice the lack of teams battering down his agent's door. That should tell you something. I haven't even heard a sinlge Bulis rumour. He will sign with a non-offensive middle-of-the-pack team and have a very quiet 2007 season.

Fundamentally flawed player. Band-aid for middle of the pack teams. Rucinsky-lite.

But I'm certain he hasn't been signed because a few dozen teams are having a bidding war!

Not the same type of player.. You cant really compare... Murray is an energy guy who use his body well and understand his role, he is a big center and provide us somethign different.. On another side, after having watched Bulis play for years, some people still dont understand what type of player he is...

I always said Bulis' hockey sense was overrated, I still hear people saying how great Bulis was defensively but the truth is that 3 or 4 years ago Bulis was having great chimestry on a pretty effective checking line playing with Juneau and Dackell... Bulis' job was quite simple.. Since the 2 other couldnt skate, Bulis was always the one to forecheck, he had great hustle always pressuring hard while Juneau and Dackell were playing a great positional game, the chimestry between the 3 was great and saved Habs *** several times, the checking line had about the same ice time as the first one if I remember.. People were loving Bulis cause he was always skating and working hard on the ice and most of the time when the checking line was creating turnovers, Bulis was the one to score.. While some people thought Bulis was one of the best third liner in the league I was saying exactly what Im saying now, Bulis without a smart old fox like Juneau wouldnt look the same, it was really a matter of chimestry and understanding their role, it was all about shutdown the other lines, you could count the scorring chances they had during a week with 5 fingers.

I remember when Therrien tried Bulis with Koivu for a couple of games, it was quite painful to watch, the guy was looking lost on the ice.. Since then, Bulis adjusted a bit but you can see the guy has some fundamental flaws... He has poor vision, easy to knock out of the puck, lose the puck way too easily to the opponents in some game situations, doesnt generate offense with his stickhandling skills or deke, passing skills just as poor as his lack of vision... it just doesnt work offensively.. On another hand, he is a great skater and has a good shot, he will score some surprising goals some nights.. I remember him score some beauty on breakaway last season.. Top corners taking a shot at full speed...

FinallY I cant say I dislike Bulis, but we just have 9 better fowards to fill our top 3 lines now.
