Awesome.
He probably got this info watching the weather channel and assumes the Sharks are staying over night.

I'm beginning to think that the coaches believe that the PK lives and dies with Murray/Stuart and that's why Murray is going nowhere. They're afraid that if they sit Murray, the PK falls apart.

Man, Vancouver is like the ant-Nashville/Phoenix. Games against them are always fun to watch, and tonight was no different.

The Sharks kill penalties just as well when Murray is in the box.

Even his PKing was brutal tonight. That move he does where he drops to one knee while slowly sliding towards the shooter and way out of position is almost hilarious at this point. Demers was great again tonight and he's obviously not hurt, so there is ZERO reason to bench him. The team is better with him in the lineup, end of story.

He also lost his stick on the late 3rd period PK. Too bad TMac will keep playing him. He's been God awful this season and tonight was his worst game of the season.

Yeah he's good for about one stick drop a game these days. It's like his version of Hartnell Down.

@slocal - Outstanding job! I dig Undead Nemo

I hope this isnt what TMac said in the locker room after the win. I would be mad about the way they played.

The Sharks won because of superhuman performances from Nemo and Stuart. Burish and Demers were also good.

Damn straight! That was an awesome game. Hoping for another VAN - SJ series for the inevitable Photoshop war and general good times that would follow.

Cleary Vancouver approach was mad the Nucks lost and gave the Sharks pilot a false METAR report.

in drew vs ray#1, didnt ratto say "just win the game!"?

now they edge out a close win, and he still complains

now, i usually like Ratto on the show because he brings the lulz... nothing wrong with a little trolling... but you can't say "just win" then be a wet blanket after a difficult win over a solid team

personally, i think ratto should've been super optimistic, hedican should've agreed 100% and everyone acts happy... then in the postgame interview with Pavs, Hedican somehow appears from behind and hits Pavs with a steel chair as he grabs the mic and announces he's joined the canucks broadcast team... that would've made the heel turn much better

Ratto is always off or incredibly wrong in everything he says. Remember Clowe, the two-way forward? And Marleau not being good at playing defense?

But jeez Drew, take off the homer glasses. Hedican called it like it was and I respect him for that. The Sharks had poor execution as a whole and stole the two points, hands down. There's nothing wrong with criticizing the team (especially as an analyst) and wanting them to improve.

The only thing whining about things like for example the dropped stick on PK means one is either trolling or completely ignorant about hockey and or never seen a period of the game before.

I've probably seen Murray get his his stick caught in the boards and lose it about five times this season, I swear no other defenseman has done it more than once. That being said it's just one of MANY things to complain about with Murray's game this year. He's less mobile than ever, his first pass isn't what it used to be, he doesn't hit people as often because he's so slow, he frequently gets caught out of position because he's so slow, and he can't clear the puck of of the D zone to save his life. He blocks shots and occasionally lands a big hit, that's it. If you can't see that he's a huge liability right now and shouldn't be playing over Demers or Braun (and arguably Irwn), then I don't know what to tell you. I've been a huge Murray fan over the years so I'm not "hating" or "trolling", I'm just calling it like I see it.

Besides all that he's a UFA shortly with zero chance of being resigned (i hope...) and at best very limited utility on the ice so should be traded simply to recoup some value.
