I hope he is inducted and I hope Kane/Taker break kayfabe to induct him together. I can see Taker paying tribute this Monday. They play the tribute video and then have Taker come out and kneel in front of a still image of Bearer on the tron and then lower his head and then at WM, have Taker defeat Punk and then pose with the urn and hold it to his heart as he leaves up the ramp.
Personally, I was thinking that this would be the thing to "influence" 'Taker and Kane to retire this year.. and we'd see the three inducted together next year.

They should save the induction for next year. This year's HOF is stacked already and I'm sure his family will be still be grieving by the time WM weekend comes around.

I suddenly remembered this...

"He will not grow old, like we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary him, nor the years condemn.
After going down of the sun, and in the morning.
We will remember him, goodbye old buddy."
- Paul Bearer, Monday Night Raw "Raw is Owen"

Wow, completely unexpected. This guy is fantastic and responsible for spring boarding two HoF careers. What a terrible tragedy.

One of the true greats. One of if not the best manager in wrestling history. Very sad and disappointing, I always thought he would be there at ring side for Kane & Undertakers final match(es).

Undertaker was always my favourite growing up and Paul Bearer was a big reason.

R.I.P. to a great mind and one of the greatest of an aspect of the business that needs to be brought back to help get untalented speakers over better.

I've followed Paul/Percy in his pre-WWF/E days in WCCW... I hated his character there...but liked the Paul Bearer persona when he moved over to the BIG TIME...

Requiescat in pace

Hope they have a mini-tribute for him... and that he gets to the HOF soon. Cause he deserves it.

It's sad to see all the wrestlers tweet about what a great man he was. I can't imagine what Undertaker must be feeling. As a fan who will be in the crowd at Mania I hope we can get a Paul Bearer chant going.

If anyone has time, type in Paul Bearer Jim Cornette into YouTube, they did a shoot interview a few years ago, and tell some great stories.

Terrible news. Everything I read - the guy was a legit good person. I always loved his over the top style. Some very memorable moments from being a kid.

RIP.

I hope this Paul Bearer-Jerry Lawler video doesn't violate board decency standards, but this still cracks me up, if only for my sick sense of humour!

Agreed. Even if it isn't a "tribute", at least acknowledge it... Someone mentioned having Paul's picture on the 'tron with Undertaker kneeling at the rampway looking up. I think that would be amazing, but to make it perfect we'd have to have Kane standing with him.

No way. I'm shocked. I just recently read that all his health issues were gone and he feels much better than ever. I remember I was a teen when he debuted. Smoking one after another with my sister and laughing at the mannerism. Sad.

I'd have them do some sort of tribute video on Raw next week. But the Undertaker kneeling with the Bearer on the screen should be at Wrestlemania...would be a nice Wrestlemania moment.

I don't know about you guys but this is a situation where a guy like Trump should drop out of the HOF Induction this year and let a passing legend take his place.
