Not much interest in Rehehr, but I'd want Hodgson.

Well this thread was entirely predictable

The total panic is farcical at this point. We're not going to start moving multiple core players to "shake things up". The suggestion Backes might be available verges on the insane, the guy is playing through injury and is the same leader he was last year.

Are you kidding me.

How do you feel about McDonald, D'Agostini, and a 1st for Couture?

Is this a real offer? I couldn't say no. San Jose would get solid production out of both players, but Courture is really good.

No, used it to show how bad the offer for Pietrangelo was!

I'll drive them both to the airport, and even push McDonald's wheelchair to the loading gate.

What would it take from Pitt for either Oshie or Perron? Really like to Oshie though?? Don't know the value of either so ill through something out there. 1st+Bennett or 1st+Maata+TK?

Got to ask, why would STL do either of those. It's still a team that should make the playoffs. Trading a top six guy for pick and prospect would make it look like they are giving up on the season. If a shakeup occurs, its roster player for roster player.

Sekera+Stafford, maybe add a pick.
Ha, unless the pick is our 2013 1st (likely top-5), I don't see why St. Louis would have any interest in that deal.

No from Buffalo. Hodgson looks great this season. As of this second, I'd probably rank him our most untradeable roster asset, even ahead of Myers and Grigs. He works hard, so he'll fix the defensive side of things in time.

There are Blues fans who'd do this? I think that'd be a yes from Buffalo. Berglund would give us the center we need behind Ennis/Hodgson/Grigs, and the other assets are nice, as well. Also, for this season anyways, losing Miller would likely cement our top-5 pick. Getting a second 1st rounder and a second 2nd rounder (on top of the picks we hopefully get for Regehr and Leo, among others) would be valuable because we can either use the picks to replenish the system or flip some of them to help the roster for next season.

Losing Sekera would hurt, but I would do this from Buffalo's perspective.

David Backes and TJ Oshie are off limits. Blues fans are overreacting.

This thread sucks. Ugh my heart just aches right now.

I would say Berglund is possibly available, along with David Perron.

If Berglund was available, what would the Blues be looking at from Buffalo? I assume Sekera as the centerpiece?

Is it really that hard to read the OP that says Pietrangelo is untouchable? I mean really?

I'm terrible at value, but yes Sekera would certainly be an attractive piece. Probably would ask for a 1st round pick as well

Could something around Giordano and Berglund be worked out? Not too sure on how their values compare but I think it would be a solid foundation to work from.

Their first is likely going to be high this year, so that doesn't work.

The problem with the Blues moving Berglund is that we have no depth at C, we have Backes and Berglund and that is basically it. The only deal I could possibly see with Buffalo would be Berglund+ for Grigorenko/Girgensons & Sekera and even that would be dependent on other factors.

We need a center back if we trade one. This has been said numerous times.
