Jannik and Boeds on hot streaks. Eller finding his way into the Top 9(At the cost of Galchenyuk so don't know how sustainable that is). Frederik Andersen impressing in the AHL. Good news all over the place

Oh yeah... ehm... Frans Nielsen hasn't had a point in like forever. Obviously he should cut his losses and go to Sweden. Other wise we're all doomed
Frans Nielsen at least scored another goal on the shootout and together with John Tavares' Forsberg move secured a win! Since Frans Nielsen has some trouble right now at least that brings points to the Islanders! But he is 5 games (?) without a point now even with 14 shots on goal.
Jannik Hansen had another great night.
1G 1A and +2 tonight even in a 2-4 loss.
Two shots in two games and two goals. That's efficient! Has the best danish statistics with +7 (with +5 in the last two games).
EDIT: An a big congratulation to Jannik Hansen for getting twins.
He wasn't all that patriotic since he chose the "wrong" evangelist: The Daniel + Lucas combination is not near as corny as Daniel + Markus (Dan+Mark)! But we did get an old testament+new testament!

Don't know if it's true but I think I read somewhere that the delayed plane from Vancouver to Calgary got Jannik Hansen time to catch up with the team after "delivering" the twins.
IF that's true - that's a great story! Sometimes the stars just align

And then you have three wise men following it
So games for tonight:
Montreal vs NYI -> very likely a Montreal win.
Lets hope Frans Nielsen can get over his 5-game slump and also put Lars Eller back on the production track.
Vancouver vs San Jose. Time for Jannik Hansen to produce some twins on the ice again (ok he had 1G 1A last two games.......but I'm thinking 2G). Vancouver should win this since San Jose have had trouble scoring lately.
In other non-biblical related news Philip Larsen is back from his injury. At practice today he was paired up Trevor Daley so looks like he's back in the top 6 to.

Oh well. Utterly wrong with the predictions.
NYI managed to win over Montreal 6-3 but only one danish point.
Frans Nielsen had 1 assist and was +1.
Lars Eller was +0.
Vancouver lost to San Jose 2-3 in shootout.
Jannik Hansen had 1 goal and was +1, but missed his penalty in the shootout (can't remember but was it his first shootout attempt?). Still he has 3 goals in 3 games. This game he had 4 shots, so not 100% as the last two matches.

Three game goal streak yep.. Or 3 games and 3g, 2a and a missed penalty
No danish points last night.
Peter Regin only played 8 min and was -1 in Ottawa's 4-5 defeat to Toronto.
Mikkel Bødker was -1 and 0 shots on goal in Phoenix' 0-2 defeat to Anaheim.
Philip Larsen will sit tonight due to lack of size according to the coach. To bad - but does improve the size-theory(Since the penalty-theory, the mistake-theory and the rookie-theory has been more or less shot down).
Oh and I though we might just touch the realignment as a subject...
Today Phoenix and Dallas is together(Pacific) and Montreal and Ottawa(Northeast). Only change is Phoenix will be together with Vancouver and not Dallas. On the other hand each division now has a "Danish" team in it. Nice to have a team you'd want to win all over the place
Small advantage for Dallas and Islanders short term IMO. Phoenix and Vancouver in a tough division. Some nice matches ahead in that one
Tonights game was good for Lars Eller with 1G 2A and +2 in a 4-2 win over Carolina.
No points and three defeats for Frans Nielsen (0), Mikkel Bødker (-2) or Jannik Hansen (-1).

Denmark's players certainly have spread out in NA then
So here are the proposal for realigment:
Western Conference:
Pacific division (7 teams):
Anaheim, Calgary, Edmonton, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Jose, Vancouver.
A note on Lars Eller I didn't get to mention when it happened.
The Cole-Ryder-trade... At first a trade that made no sense to me. For Dallas at least. But Cole has found his rhyme in Dallas and in Montreal Ryder have been doing okay. But Montreal also made a switch from a guy with another year on his contract for a UFA next summer. Despite his okay start - and the fact that he is a great sniper(30 goal season last year) - Ryder was the odd man out in the Montreal numbers game last night. I think that move might have something to do with the fact that they needed to make room for Lars Eller/Galchenyuk/Gallagher/who-ever-you-see-as-the-root-of-the-problem.

So the Cole trade might work to Ellers advantage. Maybe they plan to keep Galchenyuk and Eller together and then sell Ryder again or someone else? You can say that Montreal have a lot of options with their forwards and Ellers good play saved him from being dumped more permanently on the 4'th line?!

Well Ellers TOI has certainly gone up since.. And he gets PK and PP time
BTW, Freddy Andersen must be kicking himself right now! Cam Ward is out 6-8 weeks = Almost rest of the regular season.

Frederik Andersen keeps playing well. GAA down to 2,11 and SVS% quite steady these last many games -> 93,1% (been between 93,0-93,2% for quite many games now). He is 3'rd in both GAA and SVS% in AHL right now. The two before him in SVS% - Lehner & Holtby - are both playing in NHL right now. So had he stayed with Carolina he would certainly have played!
Otherwise great game by Frans Nielsen last night with 1G (SH) 1A and +1 in a 5-2 win over Washington earning him a second star.
Mikkel Bødker and Lars Eller were non-productive last night with +0 statistics and no shots on goal.

Well Lars Eller still played a great game.. His puck possesion and two way abilities are mindblowing good IMO. He is really making it hard for MT not to give him big minutes. The only people still giving him a hard time, are a few nut-job fans, (And im really only talking like 2 or 3 guys) and the Québécois media. For some reason they really want DD to take the spot as No 1 C even if it's at the expence of a young player doing well.
As for Boedker his pointwise inconsistency and low goal tally is really a biiig questionmark for me.. Can someone, SOMEONE WHO WATCHES Phoenix games tell me wth is going on?
Personally im a bit dissapointed...
I keep hearing PHO fans saying ohh Boedker is sooo good, played a great game and so forth.. I know points arent everything, but for a top 6 Winger they certainly play a big role, even if he is playing on a Tippet team.
