As a Sens fan I will offer to outbid you just so I can get my brother a Stoner jersey.

Ballard + 3rd

Minnesota Native for a BC Native, fills needs both ways. Playing for his hometown might spark that excitement from his Florida days where we saw him hip-check Malkin and fight Crosby in the same shift.

Extreme overpayment. I'm sure a 3rd and a depth player would work for Minnesota, but we need defensemen right now.

And Russell>Stoner.

Would you do a Russell for Stoner? Seemed like you all are hurting on the wings a bit.

We will give you a 7th, if you take away Wade Redden...ha ha

Stoner is a decent player that has shown to play fairly well alongside Gilbert.

2nd and a 3rd

Actually no. Ballard does nothing for the Wild. Stoner is worth more than a 3rd.

I'm not saying Stoner isn't worth more than a 3rd, but Ballard has value (unlike what many people who don't watch the Canucks believe).

Ballard has value. Just not at 4x the salary + one additional year on top of that. Also it is always tough to embrace a player that is in virtually every trade proposal by the fans.

Have to pick up Hemsky and just add a P in his name...

Would Russell and a 4th get it done?

Would Minnesota bite on Weber and a 3rd for Stoner? I had discussed it with Wild fans earlier and they seemed amenable to it as Weber is young, inexpensive, and is a PMD with a booming shot for the PP.

Out of curiosity, does Stoner fight? If "yes", does he win? Very important to know 100% before dealing. I know he is big, strong, can clear the net, and will defend team mates, I just want a deeper understanding from Wild fans.

Just his name alone is worth an extra 3rd rounder

Is there a thread where Weber isn't offered up? ha ha. Poor guy probably wants to go back to Europe.

He will drop the gloves when the time is needed. It's just not a major part of his games. Here's the numbers.

Stoner is the type that every team should want at least 1 or 2 of on the blueline. Big, strong, physical, inexpensive and experienced. Average skating and stick skills. Dependable but won't move the puck much or threaten to score. I think he's worth a 2nd rounder. He can help a team win.

I'd consider Weber and a 3rd.

Positives: Relatively unknown; he hits, fights when necessary (typically wins due to his size and strength) and consistently has a positive +/-.

Negatives: He's been fighting injures for most of his career, and does occasionally make dumb mistakes in his own zone. Doesn't really put up numbers.

I'd rather hang onto him. We don't have too many defensemen of his "type" in the organization.
