INJURY REPORT

Quote:
Penguins defenseman Paul Martin was back at practice with his teammates Tuesday afternoon at Southpointe. Martin, who is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury, hasn’t played since the team’s Feb. 28 game in Carolina.

Martin, who has been working the past few days with strength and conditioning coach Mike Kadar prior to team practices, feels the injury is healing, but isn’t sure when he’ll be able to return to the lineup. FULL UPDATE HERE.

Flyers defenseman Nicklas Grossmann, the league leader in blocked shots, suffered a lower-body injury in the first period of Tuesday night's game against the New York Rangers and did not return.

The Penguins believe left wing Beau Bennett will play a big role in their future.
Starting Thursday, they will give him a chance to thrive in the present.
The precocious Bennett hardly has looked out of place in the NHL through eight games, and the Penguins have decided to play him on the second line with Evgeni Malkin and James Neal against the Flyers.
“That's the line he's going to play with,” coach Dan Bylsma said. “All three periods.”
Bylsma acknowledged situational strategies occasionally could dictate that another center or left wing Matt Cooke skate on that line, but Bennett is going to receive an extended look.

In honor of our neighbor's most recent title.

For the love of God I hope Disco preacts instead of reacts to Lavs adjustments and time outs. The same thing has been happening in Pens Flyers games for 3 GD years already.

Shorten up that D to wing pass pllleeeeaaasssseeee....

Wow! Quite awesome 'Gene! I love me some Sully & Godsmack.
I'm looking forward to seeing Bennettt play with Malkin and Neal.
The line of Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis leads the league in goal production with 18.
LGP!

Just please learn how to beat the Flyers the right way, like NY did. Don't retaliate, let them march their goons to the box. They take a ton of penalties, let them, don't go with them. They aren't that good of a team, play solid defense and wait for them to screw up.

Expecting another tight checking game with few penalties and scoring chances and stellar goaltending. 1-0 Pens in SO.

One of the best posts ever. Not a hint of sarcasm. I don't think I can even watch this game without getting pissed off, throwing the remote against the couch, and turning it off completely 10min after PHI uses their timeout.

Had a dream last night, part of which involved this game. I think we won something like 6-5 or 5-4 in OT. Think Kunitz had the winner. Dangles also had a sweet toe drag but didn't end up scoring on it.

So don't be surprised when all of this happens

Fantastic GDT! No point in making any predictions, expecting a fun game though. Go Pens!

I just want us to win. Get revenge for the loss at home. It'll either be a close game or a high scoring one.

...or both.
NO stupid penalties! Although smearing Hartnell and co.'s faces in is indeed important to me, I'd rather limit their PP opportunities.

Last GDT there were many talking jazz on the first two pages. I didn't get to the GDT until like 15 pages in, so I didn't post this. You jazz guys need to wiki Ronnie Burrage. He has played with EVERYONE, including Duke Freaking Ellington when he was a child! I didn't post links cause I'm on my Ipad and I don't know how. Anyway, I say this cause the guy is working at the Altoona post office!

On topic.....................Penguins stop going full retard against these bums!

Go Pens!
