Does this make 50 SPCs now? No room for Zucc's currently?

The best news possible is that this move is to send down Bickel and Staal is okay.

Anything other than that is bad news, so I don't know why you are hoping for something else.

Absolutely right. I'm just hoping Bickel might actually sit instead of someone else. Hamrlik might actually surprise people if he actually gets PP time which I'm hoping is one of the reasons he was snagged.

Hamrlik ****ing sucks but he's better than Bickel or Gilroy

Hopefully it isn't a sign that Staal is broken long term since I think they would have had to put in the claim yesterday before the injury

Even if its not broken, having ONE eye to see out of renders him unable to play. Bickel playing would be a disaster, kids in Hartford aren't ready. Hamrlik fills the void.
Hockey players are very different than average human beings. Not a clue how long Staal will be out, but comparing him to your friend doesn't really mean anything.

Players get there teeth knocked out and play the same game. I had my face shattered by a baseball and missed my entire season and it took weeks for me to recover in any sort of normal manner.

These guys are machines.

Hamrlik is a better option than Pickels and Gilroy.

I have no problem with this move. Much better vet depth on the blueline and give up NO assets to get it done.

No lose situation.

I kinda sure we've 49 incl Hamrlik. Anyhow, if Zucc wanna come and we want him, space will be created.

No, they are human. So are you. You're injury was worse than Staal. It appears that perhaps nothing is broken in his face. Same as my friend, however his eye will be closed shut for a couple of weeks which puts him out indefinitely.

#NYR Don't immediately interpret Hamrlik waiver claim as direct causality from Staal injury. Team discussed putting in claim before incident

Chill out. Bickel is the 23rd man on the roster and has had two really rough games at forward. He is a terrible D-man and the Rangers are bringing in another defenseman. Do the math...

Doesn't it make sense to talk about other corresponding moves with this transaction? Yup, but Bickel is a tough guy so that must mean you have to defend him. It's very typical.

I think the Rangers make this move even if Staal wasn't hurt. Is Emminger or Gilroy hurt? Where are you getting that from?

Bickel sucks and the Rangers can and should be using that precious roster spot better. If you disagree then you disagree but don't ever play mod with me and tell me what to worry about with a post.

A neat little tidbit. When i first started playing hockey 20 years ago, my team was the Lightning. And when we played in this league, all the kids used to pick their numbers for the players on the team. I picked #44 for Hamrlik and have worn that # for the next 20 years. I've always had a soft sentimental spot for him for that, and now its pretty cool to see him playing for the Rangers after all these years

Hopefully this signing and the calling up of Haley spells the end for Stu.

Oates wants his d-men to play on their natural side. Hamrlik is a LD. They have 5 LD which is the reason he is sat.

We lose time. Time that could be spent bringing in someone who's worth spending time on. A player who can keep up with our Stars, someone that challenges the player/s above him, not just handed over a spot.
