Was the "out indefinitely" comment released from the Rangers or was it just assumed by the tweeter??

Yea it may have been worse than Staals but it's similar to a lot of NHL players who take a puck to the face and lose teeth/break there nose etc and come back in the same game.

Most of us would be out of commission for quite a bit of time.

these guys, while human, are on a different level physically. And you're basing that eye swelling on the occurrence of someone elses injury. We have no clue if they are similar in any way, shape or form at this moment.

Not surprised. Staal will probably be out for a while. Pretty meh about this move. He can't be any worse than Bickel.

Hamrlik is better than people are giving him credit for. He can be a solid #6. Hope this means one of Gilroy or Eminger are gone.

Ugh. Hope they don't have enough info as of yet.
I interpreted the tweet as a good thing? I dunno if i'm misreading the tweet.

Even if its a broken orbital bone it'll be lucky compared to what could have happened.

What happened to Hamrliks game since last years playoffs that he fell out of favor in Wash? I remember him being very solid during our series with them. Did he get old very quickly?

I hope that Hamrlik and Richards on the points on the PP is not even a remote consideration. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

Who?

Who, for nothing but salary, could you bring in to challenge and compliment Nash?

As far as the deal goes, veteran depth.

The way that McDonagh, Girardi, and Staal have been getting banged around, you never can have enough NHL ready defenseman. Obviously not the sexiest pick-up, but maybe a change of scenery helps Hammer.

(5) LD in Washington. Oates will not play LD @ RD.

Especially Thursday night against the Isles. Grabner with the short-handed hatty

I second this notion.

The PP is clicking just fine right now, lets not introduce anymore ideas or players.

I wonder if Hamerlks Fehr bashing during the lockout hurt him in the room in Washington. I'd have no way of knowing but it's something to think about. Maybe a change of scenery helps Hamerlik.

I have no problem with this move. Much better vet depth on the blueline and give up NO assets to get it done.

No lose situation.
Exactly what I thought

Expected this before Staal's injury. Hope he has something left in the tank. As good as most veterans who will be available at deadline.

The top unit with Stepan, Callahan, and Nash, yeah. But the second unit isn't producing ****.

Post up Stralman and Hamrlik on the points and let them bomb away on that unit with Pyatt screening the goalie.

The organization may not think he is ready yet. He missed half of the season already.

Hamrlik costs nothing but money. They have a ton of cap room.

Maybe him and Beaver share the same opinions about the PA, which will magically help the power play?

Seriously, not that upset about this signing. If anything, it'll help. Bickel needs to go. Guy is the reason for the penalties, he never fights, he's ALMOST worse than Boyle.

It's clicking just fine right now. Richards wasn't on for most of the recent goals, however.

With this claim and Haley up already, does that not put the Rangers over 23 on the roster right now?

Interesting point. I remember the media giving his comments a lot of attention during the lockout.

Pretty much this. Also, he wasn't that bad when he did play.
