Miller for Backstrom + Coyle

Similar cap hits for the goalies, but Backstrom is a UFA after the season. Miller is an upgrade for a team in win now mode. Minnesota adds a very good prospect to make up the difference.

No thank you. Miller is a great goalie but I have no interest in giving up Coyle.

quite the exaggeration, it's far from "horrible". It's not even close to one of these worst in the trades section.

I think we're kind of counting on Backstrom's expiring contract this summer and (potentiallY) a reduced cap hit next year. Strictly financially speaking, I don't think it makes sense.

Miller isn't enough of an upgrade to warrant trading Coyle, and it's likely we get Backstrom resigned.
