Jensen will only be moved in a package for a star player.

A coke and a bag of chips would be an overpay.

He'd go unclaimed on waivers with his continuing cap hit.

Just an FYI in case folks miss it: Foligno is disproportionately valued here. He's not going to be an easy acquisition. We'd much prefer to keep him.

For example:

This would not be accepted. It's basically dumping Foligno for picks, which is a bad investment.
You may not pull the trigger on this deal, but Foligno for a low first AND second is value. What else do you want? A third too?

You can keep him, and get him to change your culture but the deal was reasonable. If you guys dont want any more picks then thats fine. I understand.

he's played most of his career on the fourth line. when it looked like he'd step up his play offensively, he went down with a shoulder injury. he came back last year looking like he could be a passable 2c or a really good 3c, then had another shoulder injury (either different shoulder or unrelated injury. they shouldn't really happen again, but i wouldn't be surprised if he has shoulder problems in the future). he had a really slow start this season, then played a few solid games. he then got hurt again with a chest injury, after which he has come back and played decent. he has some nice hands, but his faceoffs and shooting hasn't quite been the same since those shoulder injuries, but he's shown flashes this season. he's excellent defensively.
I was just thinking about Regin. He can play anywhere in the lineup and is a stud defensively. As a ufa with no real future in ottawa he would be a cheap but shrewd move for Vancouver.

Regin or Jussi Jokinen seems like good cheap options. Brassard would be great but I´m not giving up a first for him. 2nd + B prospect.

It's almost but not quite the latter. We do want picks, but dumping Foligno for them is a bad idea considering his current role here.

Just like Roberto Luongo, right?

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
