Hope he's okay, that was brutal. Dziurzynski is a tough guy but he's definitly not in the same weight class as McLaren

Yeah right, since when does "GO LEAFS GO!" after a guy was ko'd laying completely motionless on the ice, respect?

Sens fan here. Gotta give props to mclaren. You can tell he disturbed at the end result and was worried about DD. He almost looked sick to his stomach. No one likes to injure someone badly like that.

Fighting is banned (ie there will be suspensions and you might face criminal prosecution for assault) in a lot of leagues in Europe. If two man want to fight they can get into a boxing ring. I never can understand why some fans like it.
then go watch europe league if you don't like it. Anti-fighting crap really start to be annoying here.

Edge for Neil in the second scrap, Orr looked gassed.
If you want to call it a fight, it was win for Neil. But Neil held onto Orr as tight as he could which I dont like. You wanna go with the guy..go dont hold on and hope he doesnt get loose.

I guess its smart fighting but meh not a fan of it. Man up and throw em boys. Neil is a tough boy we all know that..its not like he has no chance against Orr.

NHL is still by far the best league hockey wise (skill, speed). So of course I watch the NHL. I just disagree that its part of the game.

Well, you better start watching the KHL, because it is part of the NHL and thank GOD, you have zero impact on it.

It's very easy to understand when you've played and seen your guy fighting for your team. It completely lights your team up instantly. As a player and a fan, a good fight can be just as exciting as a good goal. It's all context though. A staged fight that early on has no point whatsoever.

Good fight, great knockout! I know that pride makes every player think they have it in them to drop the gloves, and fill that role at the NHL level if it is ever required of them, but sometimes you gotta learn the hard way that not everyone actually can. Nothing scary to anyone who watches any amount of boxing or MMA (the back of the head contacting the ice concerns me more than a dude's nose, or whatever), just a good ol' lights out haymaker to the button.

And you think you're in majority? Close your tv 30 sec when a fight broke up and you will not see it.

I, too, enjoy my hockey games with a touch of brain damage as a result of staged fights between players who are worthless otherwise (McLaren moreso than Dziurzynski).

Hate to disagree again but Neil rightfully knows he has a much greater chance of getting pounded ag Orr than visa versa.
He doesn't hold on when he feels pretty confident.

I'm guessing Gorges is happy Mclaren let him off the hook. Imagine what could have happened then. I like fights but not this one.

Literally right before this happened I was thinking that Dzuirzynski should've been a healthy scratch tonight instead of O'Brien.

I hope we see McLaren v Lucic tommorow. That'd be like prime Mike Tyson vs prime Sonny Liston.

Well neil has been widely known for throwing them with the best so thats why I say I was surprised for him hugging Orr out of fear.

Well, Tom Pyatt is still playing.
That's why Lucic has twice beaten Carkner, a man who beat and concussed the league's former heavyweight champion, the late Derek Booregard. I'm sure Lucic is shaking in his boots, what a laugh.
