So he had 30 year old eyes, took a stick to an eye, then had 60 year old eyes? Both of them? What?

God damn I wish he could lace em up again, arghhh! That interview just makes it worst. He leaves the door open for a return but everyone knows it wont happen. :/

edit: He also looks in good shape and mood, so at least theres that.

Just watched both videos.

Great stuff, but I feel a lot worse now.

He's obviously not coming back, but he leaves the door open, just a little bit, just toying with our hearts the slightest amount. I would kill to have Chris back, I just dont see it. I think it would almost be better for him to retire sooner rather than later if he's really never going to play again.

Just his right eye. He's trying to 're-train' it to fix his depth perception and peripheral issues

"What’s happened was I had 30-year-old eyes. I got hit and the doctor told me I had 60-year-old eyes."

Also, there's a point in the video where he's talking about the bead thing to retrain his eye, and he corrects himself and changes his wording to eyes.

Right away I noticed his right eye was dilated... so it is still pretty jacked up, and probably always will be.

Anyone who wished something bad on an injured player is pretty much a ******* and a waste of space. Even if a player I disliked, say, avery was injured in this way... I wouldn't say he deserved it. Shame on them.

After watching this video it made me realize how much i miss pronger and how much this team misses pronger. His prescence, his personality, his play was so important to the team and city.

He was such an engaging personality with the media that he kind of took the focus off all the players and put it on himself which is such an important thing to do in a city like philly.

The best Flyers team I've ever seen was the 2010-2011 flyers. FOr the first half of the season Id never seen a flyers team dominate 5v5 like they did. they could roll out 3 scoring lines with 3 great defensive pairings and a rookie goalie who was benefiting from great play all around. That team was ridiculous in terms of talent and depth and when pronger went down it all went to the wayside. He was that important literally the straw that stirred the drink.

Since he has been out this team has literally fought to find an identity, something that i believe will be this teams undoing until they once again find a player that can dominate on and off the ice like he could.

Pronger could be meeting with Philly-area media today.

Just saw Sarah Baicker tweet this. I suspect it will be probably along the lines of what was said in the two part interview with Sportsnet.ca.

On another note, I had a friend who suffered the same problems with concussions that Pronger is right now. Although a lot younger, he fully recovered after 18 months and went back to playing hockey(and effectively)

Although I see it as a long shot because of his age, Pronger is one to never quit or back down from a challenge. It's not out of the realm of possibility he makes a comeback at one point.

If he announces his retirement, because of the 35+ rule, doesn't that screw us over cap wise? We cant bury his contact in LTIR if he retires.

If he announces his retirement what would that do to the team cap wise?

Pretty sure he isn't announcing his retirement. I feel like the Flyers want him to speak to our media after he did his interview with Canadian media.
