Gotta give the Hawks credit, they outplayed the Avs in the third, they earned the win.

That said, the reffing was clearly in favor of the Hawks tonight. The Toews goal should never have even happened, it was a clear penalty on Bolland.

Anyway...

That third goal was a mess for the Avs. Zanon just loses an easy puck battle in the corner; instead of clearing the puck around the wall, he tries to take the man (Kruger), but Kruger beats him there, has better body positioning and it leads to the 2-on-1 down low. Duchene porbably should have covered Stalberg, but because Zanon lost that puck battle, it forced Duchene to try and take the puck. Bad reads by both players there. O'Brien was just standing there with his stick in the air, easy tap in for Carcillo. Varlamov gets no help in front of him whatsoever, it's a shame because he's a great goaltender.

I don't usually post, but I'm gonna call the hawks first lost in game one of the finals, Bickel scores in OT assisted by Gilroy and Haley..

Bolland got away with one ,, No doubt

But refs missed headshot on Shaw that knocked him out of game

Hawks had 8 forwards for most of 3rd period with the 3 injuries tonight

This is the best thing I have ever seen. Marchand is such a cheapshot diva. Just wait until his ridiculous shooting percentage goes down.

Slower team who's depth is weak and there stars have struggled after hot start

Team is basically being kept alive because of Niemi who often covers for mistakes of there defense

Just a poorly built team to be honest by Doug Wilson and poorly coached at times

Their offense is painful to watch, they have problems generating scoring chances. Or they just look bad against faster teams.

Similar hit to Richards only real difference is the speed... But still a shove head first into the boards multiple feet from the boards

Well Kadri is sure proving a lot of nay-sayers wrong this season... I admit I had the impression that he was going to be more-or-less a bust after not being impressed with anything I saw from him prior to this season..... Hopefully Kreider can have a similar impact when he eventually gets another chance to prove himself at the NHL level later down the road....

Exactly why I still think that Kaleta should have been handed 10+ games. From the first time you lace up the skates as a kid, it's ingrained into your head that you NEVER hit someone from behind in that position. I'm pretty sure I learned this before I could even tie my own skates. If Kaleta is interested, I'm sure I can dig up some old USA hockey "how to check" VHS tapes from my local rink.

What Kaleta did was on par with Chris Simon's stomp. Still heated about that damn play. God, I can't wait to see him get his ass beat when he comes back.

Isn't it two conferences with two divisions in each?

For our division I really don't think much will change since it seems like most of our teams are staying in our division or conference or whatever.

We will now have to get used to where each team's link to their board is on HF.
