Talk about a backwards move... it's really amazing to see so many Leafs fans that want to make their team worse.

You trade your shutdown centre for a guy who has absolutely no business in that role, and one of your best defencemen (who happens to be 26) on the big time wrong side of 30.

I would jump at the chance to acquire Legwand or Fisher.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the true value or trade equivalent is but I would see what Winnipeg would want for Bogosian. I might even offer Roy plus whatever to get him. Trading Morrow won't do anything short term or long term in my opinion. It's all speculation but that's just my opinion. To make a playoff run, if we do make it in then we need Morrow. It's no coincidence that contenders are wanting him.
I think Winnipeg would trade Kane before Bogo, and lets just say, Kane is going no where, X 1000 for Bogo

I can see Brenden Morrow being traded to a contender for a pick or D prospect.

When Whitney comes back I don't see him having a spot on the roster unless it's on the 4th line.

That sure is a lot of names available from Calgary.

However, we must consider history when dealing with Feaster. His idiocy can never be counted out, Calgary could be last in the league and the guy simply might decide he wants to go into next year with the same squad. There is no predicting how the Feaster will act, his decisions....are questionable.

I'm hardly a fan of Booth but Clowe is pure garbage. He is a hot-headed walking penalty incapable of playing hockey without taking cheap physical liberties to make up for his lack of skating ability and hockey awareness.

Booth is a questionable 2nd liner who thinks a pass is when you mishandle the puck and a teammate gets it. Booth is overpaid but he doesn't cost you games and is generally a slight net positive.

I'd love to see the Bruins pick up Morrow for the 3rd line spot. Guys like that always seem to find themselves after a deadline trade.

I really don't see this as a backwards move.

If anything it helps us now and likely in the future, because we can decide what we want to do with 1c / 2c.....rather then just giving it to Grabo because of his long contract.

Bozak can be on our shut down line, and graduate Kadri up to 1C for the rest of the year. Seems like a decent move; and adds a RH dman, while shipping a LH so Gardiner can filter back into the lineup.

Bogosian wouldn't be available for anything the Stars could realistically offer.

What? How did I miss this in the OP? Nope. Don't see it happening and certainly not as a deadline deal. Burmistrov has tremendous potential that he's only shown glimpses of living up to - he'd be risky to trade away and any team that would want him wouldn't be looking at him for a playoff run this year.

First off, Bogosian is not being dealt and it would take a heck of a lot more than a deal centered around a soon to be UFA like Derek Roy. Loui Eriksson would need to be on the table and the JETS still probably don't trade him.

23 yr old Bailey's a rfa, making a cheap $1m. His trade value isn't high.

The isles have the aging Reasoner and career ahlers like 34 yr old Aucoin/29 yr old MacDonald on the roster. I'm not sure why Bailey would be moved.

FROM THE 'YOTES

Klesla & Summers - Schlemko if a team is willing to pay what we 'Yotes fans consider fair.

others are available for an overpayment but not likely (until, at least, the draft)

I disagree with Erat, but a darkhorse for certain will be Legwand. I can see teams very interested in that he's a center with a ton of playoff experience.

It really doesn't make sense for them to keep him. He's had his time there, and has been a good player, but he is Nashville's highest drafted player ever, and was eclipsed in skill by several guys to come in and out of Nashville.

If you can get something good for Legwand, do it.
