Agreed. Most player's on that list have put up some pretty dismal statistics.

Some not though, like Pouliot is playing well for a value player.

And like I mentioned Metropolis's stats are incredible. I read up on him a bit more. It seems to me he probably enjoyed playing in SWISS-A more than North America. He apparently has quiet the fan following there.

Sorry about Moore, I knew his wife had passed and didn't play this year. just was pooring over stat's and player's from past two years and put him in without thinking. Poor guy.

Kostistyn

Would really like to get a video of him fighting in the KHL from this year!! because other than getting 2 penalties per game.. He would have to be fighting quiet often.

I've tried translating the word "fight" to Russian and putting "Andrei Kostistyn (russian word for fight) KHL" and can't get anything.

Can anyone help out on this one?

would be cool to see A.K. dropping the gloves (other than when he defended Sergei.)

I looked him up on HockeyFights.com

It says that his last fight was on March 31, 2009.

The KHL section was acting strange. It only pulled up one fight.

I had forgot about hockeyfights.com

I was able to pull up the full list for KHL fights.

No Andrei.

the 82 penalty minutes has to be a typo by hockeyDB.com

Yeah, when I saw his PIMs I went to HockeyFights but the site isn't very reliable when it comes to the KHL. They only seem to track actual goons like Gillies. And even then they only list 4 fights and he has 95 PIMs.

Would be hilarious if AK reinvented himself as a goon. I've seen him on KHL best hits of the week videos a few time.

I trust hockeyDB more than HockeyFights for the KHL.

Edit: Apparently he was banned a month ago for a headshot, that probably isn't helping: http://en.rsport.ru/hockey/20130110/639033945.html

Thanks for the info about the hit to the head. Hmmm... I still find this strange though... Surely the coach would bench him if he has been taking that many penalties without the bulk being fighting majors. This is a good mystery to try to get to the bottom of.
I should also mention I was a die hard Andrei Kostitsyn fan (have his jersey) so I find this more interesting than others maybe.

Grabovski never liked him really.

Nice Tanguay.

I've never understood the hate from this board for dropping O'Byrne and D'Agostini. The fact we were dropping players like that was a definite sign we've come along way. Those would have been our cornerstone players in the not so distant past.

All he did was say the team prepared like a bunch of losers. Given the fact we were a last place team he was right. The fact the Gauthier era was defined by trading out guys who wanted to win like Cammalleri is why we sucked so bad.

Cammalleri must be loving it in Calgary then. With all the winning they're doing.

Don't get me wrong I hated the goat.

But let's keep this thread about the performance of former Habs.

On the topic of the thread. Cammalleri is playing like his normal self. Weak.. Streaky.. standing in his office (half boards) waiting for the pass.

EDIT: 100 post's Habbybirthday for captain.

When you put it like that it totally doesn't sound like a player with four goals in his last four games and 16 points in 18 games on the season.

Koivu is flying this year, even when you disregard the stat sheet. He's just been a beast this year.

oh. also. BREAKING NEWS I'd take Ryan McDonagh back
Benny Popo was taken in the first round, actually. 4th overall as a matter of fact. One spot ahead of our own Carey Price!

AK got tossed 2 times for checking from behind in the head/neck area. So he got 25x2 just for that.

Honestly..

The hate for Alexei Kovalev is far more prevalent on these boards.

Since this thread is about former habs recent stats... here you are.

Mike Cammalleri

Mike Cammalleri (2009-2010) GP - 65 --- G - 26 --- A --- 24 - P --- 50

Mike Cammalleri (2010-2011) GP - 67 --- G - 19 --- [/B]A[/B] - 28 --- P - 47

Mike Cammalleri (2011-2012) GP - 38 --- G - 9 --- A - 13 --- P - 22

Now, KovalevI'm going to use his three best year's with Montreal... Considering his worst year is in comparison with Cammalleri's best year.

Alexei Kovalev (2005 - 2006) GP - 69 --- G - 23 --- A - 42 --- P - 65

Alexei Kovalev (2007 - 2008) GP - 82 --- G - 35 --- A - 49 --- P - 84

Alexei Kovalev (2008 - 2009) GP - 78 --- G - 36 --- A - 38 --- P - 65

Come on... Cammelleri made some good memories... But don't forget Kovy... godamnit Kovy.. why.

Alexei Kovalev

I didn't understand the hate for Kovy either. But Cam was far more impressive in the playoffs. That's where you make your money IMO, and he never disappointed. One crappy half season on a last place team and he got tossed like a piece of garbage. Keep in mind, Kovy's probably one of my fave Habs...and I'm no young buck so that says a lot about what I think of him. Thought he was wonderful.

I can understand why people get frustrated by Cammalleri and Kovalev.

Kovalev, when he isn't playing well, has the puck on his stick longer than any other player and does nothing with it. He also has a tendency to try and break through three players instead of making the safe play. Watching that over, and over, and over.. it was incredibly frustrating. It felt like if Kovalev didn't win it for Montreal, he lost it for them.

Kyle Chipchura doing good in PHX, effective bottom 6, fights, scores, passes good. (which is why he was drafted )

I saw the last 10 minutes of the Colorado/Chicago game last night. Palushaj was flying.

Very talented played but inconsistent as mentioned by other posters. Pouliot is one hell of a finesse player. Great shot, very smooth and aesthetic skating, good size and great hands. Under the right setting, this is a guy who should definitely produce.
