Hopefully an improved one. Like Trotz says, some things come to him so naturally that sometimes the effort isn't there. But he is young. He is penciled in as the #5 Dman.

Suter...Sutter...pretty good bloodlines either way you go. But as NMK said, Ryan is Bob's son (1980 USA Olympic Team) and Gary's nephew (NHL veteran).

Hah, maybe my sarcasm didn't come off like I had hoped...I just said that cause its spelled "Sutter" on the thread title - instead of "Suter".

I know, I followed from the onset. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people misspell names - trust me, I saw the extra "t" in the title.

I've tried to keep an eye on Ryan Suter for a few seasons. Had the oportunity to watch him for a season at Madison (UW) and the following year with the MilAds. While his passing seemed to improve during those two seasons his offensive role diminished a bit in the pros. I don't know where I'd put him, I did not see him play too many times this season (I don't have Center Ice and the Preds don't get much play in WI), he's pretty good, as far as d-men are concerned, at carrying the puck, but has a tendency to make bad decisions with it, particularily in the defensive zone. While those turnovers weren't as much a concern in college as it was in Milwaukee, he did improve in that. He can also play somewhat of a physical game and is an above average skater, but as I said, I haven't seen much of him this past year to compare him to those two developmental seasons prior.

Hey, at least I'm not one of those MB trolls that goes around correcting spelling all day. I have not, and will not do that...I too hate when people do that.
