Pronger will be speaking about the interview he gave yesterday, I think. I hope he isn't announcing his retirement. That would screw the Flyers over, unless some agreement has been made considering the circumstances, which I highly doubt.
Hopefully just a status update on how he is feeling better in every day life but nowhere near playing hockey again.
At the end of the season let him skate in an informal practice, get him medical clearance, and buy him out. Shouldn't be a problem - if Lindros could be cleared to play after his numerous concussions this can only be a formality for Pronger.
That is weird that he would retire. I mean I get it that he may never play again, but that is a lot of money to leave on the table and it hurts the Flyers. Maybe he has a job offer or something to work front office and he doesn't want to miss out on that opportunity.
