Neiler is a great figher. Lucic and as much as I hate admitting this, Colton Orr.

About 3-4 year ago there was a group of fighters and McGrattan would have been challenged by guys like Godard, Boogard, Laraque etc..., but that role is largely extinct now.

McGrattan is one of the few remaining pure fighters, and he's the best of the remaining bunch.

Tough to say.

Bordeleau, Lucic, Orr, Neil, Carkner, Clowe, Engelland, Reaves. All tough, tough guys.

See McGrattan's name getting kicked around, but I think him and MacIntyre are in the minors.

Edit: McGrattan got called up last week it seems.

Rinaldo would beat Neil 3 or 4 out of 10 and he's significantly smaller, Rinaldo is definitely the best P4P

Rinaldo: 5'11" 169 lbs
Neil : 6'1" 215 lbs

We'll never know since Rinaldo refuses to fight Neil.

It's mcgrattan then.. bourdeleau in the west with guys like rupp bissonette boll staubitz trailing but still heavyweight ability

The east is way more stacked in the northeast alone all of Orr mclaren Scott lucic Thornton chara (to a lesser extent because it depends if its angry chara or throw a punch and fall chara) staged fights for chara are garbage. Neil. Prust is smaller but is probably MW champ. He has gotten thumped by some of those guys. Westgarth parros erskine carkner boulton englland peluso with gleason labrie barch capable.

Really hard to pick, but mclaren Orr Scott are at the top as of today

That's funny, Rinaldo would fight anyone, just because Neil challenges him when the flyers are winning by 2 doesn't mean Rinaldo is scared, he is used to draw penalties, which he's elite at. Rinaldo has fought much bigger guys before.

Surprised that Shawn Thornton isn't mentioned, had one tough night in like 6 years to a guy 40 pounds and 6 inches taller.

Rinaldo won't fight HW'S, he turns down most if not all true fighters.

Probably McGrattan or Orr, with Lucic not too far behind those guys.

I guess it's safe to say mcgratten's shoulder issues are behind him? When he left the send it looked like his days were numbered. His shoulder would pop out of its socket ever second fight.

Peluso is makng a name foe himself. Can't wait until he fights a true enforcer. It will be highlight reel.

False, the guy weighs 170 lbs and fights guys 200+ only

He's fought konopka and Prust multiple times, he's fought huge guys like Gudbranson, Horton ( I know he's not a regular fighter). You really shouldn't expect Rinaldo to fight Mcgrattan

Appreciate the spirit Tootoo has but at 5-7" he just falls short - no pun intended - against the bigger guys:

Boll (CBJ) -Tootoo (DET) Jan 21st 2013

Rest of the names on your list cannot be argued.

Tootoo is up there in a pound for pound discussion but doesnt belong here.

McGratton is number 1 to me. Orr and Bordeleau round out the top 3. Bordeleau was nails in the minors but needs to get a few more convincing wins against some big dudes or i'll rethink that one

I dont know that he is best in terms of value (probably Lucic) but McGrattan has been fantastic so far in Calgary and has really gone a long way (so far) in making us much tougher to play against.

I thought I was pretty clear? Rinaldo is 45 lbs lighter than Neil and is certainly capable of beating him, thus he's better p4p

I would say the best just at fighting is Orr or Bordeleau.

The best player that fits into the role of a "fighter", in terms of hockey, is Brandon Prust.

Neil, Thornton and Prust come to mind

best heavyweights, in no particular order

Orr, Mcgrattan and Lucic
