Some warriors from some centuries ago: 3
Manchester Uniteds hockeyplaying little brother: 2

Fu Man Drew 3 goals aka hattrick
Kovalchyuk (right?), Carlsson

Our russian make two assists and Ott gets a major after killing Carlsson after he scores which will be debated on this forum and soon a thread about those dirty Sabres with Kaleta and Ott will emerge, a moment after that some propose that the NHL must ban contact between players.

The people on the Devils board are calling out Miller for sitting, since when is it the goalie's choice?

Anywho, Scott dressing should make the game interesting.

Just in general I never realized how bat-**** insane their fanbase has become until this last game. Wow. They get really personal in their attacks on the WNY region as well. Not sure what's going on over there.

I think some people are taking Hecht's comment out of context. Whatever, take what you want from it.

When your goalie is Martin Brodeur. Cut em some slack, they don't know anything other than Brodeur.

Ehhh, he's clearly pissed about it IMO. Seems pretty normal to me.

Anything good rarely comes from checking out other fanbases GDT's and GBU's. Sooner or later some posters just can't help themselves and they MUST post something. And more times than not, it's nothing good.

This doesn't apply to those that strictly only read and never post on other teams boards. You know who you are.

Luckily a rare few are level headed and can hold respectful debate.

Don't worry, Miller will end up playing at the end of tonight's game.

Yeah WNY isn't that bad. Of course I don't live there but from my many trips its not what they are describing it as.

Tonight will be a blast to say the least.

This guy's got it.

If you're easily offended or are expecting non-biased perspectives you should not be looking at opponents' GDTs, especially if you're going to bring it up on our thread.

Just ignore it or accept it for what it is, which is just fans getting into the combativeness of the event to varying degrees.

I thought Hecht turned it up a notch or two the past several games. Strange benching, IMO.

Hecht-Grigorenko-Stafford was definitely clicking. I didn't see anything that Hecht did to play himself out of the lineup

So I guess the lineup will be:

Vanek-Hodgson-Pominvillr
Gerbe-Ennis-Ott
Foligno-Grigorenko-Stafford
Flynn-Porter-Scott

??

Based on tweets from practice, it sounds like Scott is simply taking Hecht's spot next to Grigs-Stafford. That probably means one of two things. First, Grigs and Staff should get real comfy on the pine at 5-on-5. Or, alternatively, there's going to be someone (Vanek? Ott?) double-shifting with Grigs-Stafford.

He's going to double-shift whoever looks good. I'm sure several skaters will see that second shift.

sorry if this had been addressed but is Hedberg starting? I'd like another stab at another 3rd stringer.

Me too, so they can look like Patrick Roy.

And yes he is.

Wonder what those who applaud the Hecht benching would think of Grigs playing with Scott instead...

He's been pretty damn good at goal prevention for playing effortlessly. I don't care how much you like him, there's absolutely no reason he should be sitting for John F'ing Scott. Grigerenko has started to look like he actually belongs in the league with Hecht on his wing and now it's a 2 player line. That's not good for anyone except the pro-tank crowd.

Be careful, the Grigs fanboys/spin doctors will tell you that Hecht and Stafford finally look good because they're playing with Grigs.

I don't get what everyone is so mad about. When you can break up a line that has two ES goals in the last three games by inserting a 4th line enforcer with no skill to speak of, you take that opportunity every time!
