And your point is? People are saying that there's no way Punk can win now and the point of my post was that, if by chance they were going to have him win, then they could still do it. It's not like it's not a viable option, it could work if they wanted it too.

Regardless, i'm done talking about this now because this isn't the place for it.

They better be careful with how much they're devaluing Punk lately. He's the best they have now and they've already had his beat up over and over by Ryback, then handled rather easily by the Rock twice and then lose to Cena. If he then loses to an almost 50 year old with a beer belly at WM, then it looks all the worse.

No one looks at The Undertaker as a "50 year old beer belly" except people on the Internet.

Undertaker is also confirmed for Raw this Monday (wasn't confirmed as of yesterday), so it looks like a tribute may be done this Monday.

Did Sarava call Taker a 50 year old potbelly?

Alrighty then.

I don't know about you guys, but just.. with the Paul Bearer character and even the Undertaker.. We've seen them "buried alive" and said to be "dead".. so the actual fact of this being real is just so much more difficult to comprehend, you know? The characters make the performers seem, in a sense, indestructible..

I know what i'm trying to say, I just don't know how to say it.. To sum it up, I still find it hard to believe that he actually passed away. I know he has, but after years of seeing the "Paul Bearer" character buried in cement, pushed into a freezer and left there, etc to eventually come back again.. it makes you think that even though this IS real, he'll still come back.

I probably sound like a fool...

I didn't mean that I think the idea of having Punk beat Taker is so ridiculous. It's your idea of having "Undertaker reunite with Paul Bearer in the afterlife" that is ridiculous. It is goofy and distasteful.

Ohhhh okay. Yeah, that was poor wording on my behalf, but I just really didn't feel right using "kill" or "die" etc.. It just didn't feel right, so the whole "reunite them" seemed like the most positive way to put it. I didn't mean that Punk was gonna say anything like that, i'd be pissed if he did..

My apologies.

The main story on WWE.com will be "STREAK STAYS ALIVE," not "PUNK LOSES AGAIN"

What's that? We're best friends now? Okay!!

It's not even a bad idea, that's the thing. Am I for it? Not a bit.. Is it possible? Entirely.

It boosts Punk to the next level while giving Undertaker a "reason" to retire. It allows Kane to finally get away from the ridiculousness that he's part of right now and become part of a feud once again.
He's in his mid-40's and they have nothing for him other than a tag-team made up of jokes.. If that's all they're gonna use him as he's "better off" retiring. I don't want him too, he doesn't seem to want too, but it should be thought about.

I cannot think of any actual negatives that could come from it..

When a former wrestler/manager dies mid-week, do they always wait until Raw to show any tribute video/graphic? I'm wondering if it'll be shown during Smackdown tomorrow.

I doubt it, only because Smackdown was filmed the day he passed, so unless they edit in a graphic at the beginning, I don't think it'll be mentioned.

Either way, I'd assume that after the Benoit incident they'd wait until the details came out before doing any tribute. Now obviously i'm not comparing the two events, but just in general I think it'd be a policy of some sort.

Plus with Raw being the predominant show between the two, the're more likely to do the actual "tribute", whatever it may be, during it. But again, I'd expect them to edit in at least a graphic at the start of Smackdown.

Survivor Series, 1991. Taker goes over with help from Flair. Being a huge Flair mark, I about passed out when I saw him show up at a WWF show. It was the only time I got to see Paul Bearer in person as well. One of my friends backed out, so I ended up taking him with me. He was a fan of Midwest Wrestling with Dick the Bruiser, Bo Bo Brazil and the boys. We had a hell of a time.

It's easy to edit things into Smackdown's broadcast. They'll have a graphic but the main stuff, such as video, will be kept for Raw.

A close friend of his says he died of a blood clot, but we'll see what the final cause is. He was apparently very sick.

They don't have to break character. There's no point in that.

Like I said before; have the bell rang ten times and then have Taker's gong hit, followed by the arena going black. Then have a blue light hit the middle of the ring where Taker is standing, have him go down to one knee and either salute the image on the titantron or reach out to the urn in the ring.

Kane can either be in the ring as well or have a special moment of his own.

If they do go through with inducting him in the hall of fame this year, I hope 'Taker and Kane are the ones who induct him together.

And even with that, he's still going to put on a match of the year candidate and wrestle a 25+ minute match. Like I said, casuals don't look at The Undertaker as a "50 year old beer belly", and not many people here do either. They look at him as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Just being in the ring with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania is a rub itself.
