Wellwood, returned to Phantoms yesterday, at the March 7 skate:

Quote:
Wellwood takes Brown's spot with Bordson and Ford, while Brown takes Fitzy's on the energy line with Slater and Mangene.

So it will soon be time for the NCAA free agent signing (that we LOVE TO do)

Here is a really good read from HF.

http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article...-be-nhl-bound/

One name was Eric Hartzell who attended the Flyers prospect camp. I remember watching him during the camp and thought he looked like the "best" goalie there. Be interesting to see if the Flyers sign him. Also come on... would be cool to have a Hartnell and Hartzell on the team

Also another guy I liked was TVR (JVR's brother). I thought he looked VERY good defensively at the camp. Also has some great offensive abilities.

Sign Hartzell. If he does well, show him off kind of like Bernier (not to that caliber of player, but play him a few times in a row to show him off). Maybe use him as trade bait or to warm the seat for Stolarz? I dunno, just some random thoughts...

We are already trying to trade a prospect we haven't signed

Not trying to sound like a dick, just find it funny

I dont even know if he will be good enough for the AHL. Just like what I saw from him at the prospect camp.

Are Bryz and Heeter the only ones on contract for next year? Not including Stolarz.

Yup. I have a feeling if Boucher doesn't retire, he gets re-signed strictly for AHL and emergency duties. Which I have no problem with.

From the few games I watched this year of the Phantoms, Heeter didn't look too bad in net.

I have not actually seen any Phantoms games this year other than his Hextall moment from this year. That made me like the guy a lot more.

Heeter got the 4-2 W tonight for Trenton. Blake Kessel with 2 goals, and really bringing some consistently strong play and scoring. Harper and Johnston also had an assist each.

edit: Also, Wedgewood got called up to Albany, so while that's happening, Heeter should be getting some quality playing time with a career ECHL back-up behind him (though a talented one).

thinking back to prospect camp I wonder what Clapperton would have had to do to earn a deal. I see he is tearing it up this year.

Last time I checked, this is the Prospect Info thread for the Phantoms and others in our system. Trenton is a Flyers affiliate. I'm updating any who'd be interested in what the Flyers prospects contributed in the Titans game. If you're not interested, you could have saved everyone else's time by shutting up and going to another thread.

It's refreshing to see a goalie with a lot athleticism.

After watching him ill say this, he is a great athlete and is huge....which seems to be the new craze these days. That being said he has the biggest 5 hole ive ever seen and no matter how fast he is it still takes time for him to close it up.

Also its hard to judge him playing behind that london team that plays very good defensively

He's still needs work but he has all the tools you can't teach. Not that it really matters but London's best Dman Scott Harrington was not playing so the blue line wasn't at full strength.

Ghost has really turned his game on recently. Has 1 goal, 5 assists in his last 4 games. Now has 23 points in 30 games. Beat his points total last season with 11 less games.

Also found some highlights of Ghost. An older game but had a sick dangle for a goal plus a pass from his net to a guy breaking between 3-4 people for a goal.
