I got to feel bad for Ian White right now. The team finally starts playing good defense when he's out, and he was one of our better defenders when we stunk.

Is he acting like he knows anything about the Red Wings or hockey in general?

Basically saying the Heat streak is better than the Hawks streak. So hockey in general. Real feat to go on a streak in the NBA with the best player ever in a soft league where the players don't care.

When did Jordan take his talents to South Beach? Can't that guy just stay retired.

The Hawks streak is impressive. But overtime losses... are losses.

That's like saying Crosby would do the same to Gretzky.

At least we agree that the NBA is not to be cared about though.

Not really, Jordan struggled at times with a 6'4" Dumars because of his strength. Also Jordan didn't really start winning until he was Lebron's age so there is plenty of time for him to track him down. I do believe Jordan would struggle with that matchup. Lebron is 6'9" 280+ lbs and he is just as fast as Jordan. He would be forced to shoot fadeaway jumpers all day. It really doesn't matter by Jordan's own criteria Bill Russell is the greatest basketball player ever. It is worth noting Bill Russell only played 4 seasons of competitive basketball in his entire life where he didn't win either a State championship, NCAA championship or NBA championship out of 19 total. Failing to do so as a Sophomore in high school and college and only twice in the NBA. That is really one of the most incredible stats I can think of in sports.

Just take the two points, Wings fans. We've been consistently putting in crap efforts ever since our last win and I don't see tonight being any different.

I love your GDT's flashy but c'mon man! LeBron will never go down as the best player ever since media has an insane love and bias towards Jordan, but he's definitely a lot closer than Crosby is to Gretzky.

Datsyuk goes off tonight. Scores a hat-trick then tells Babcock to **** off and asks for a trade.

Then Babcock will say that they are better than Crosby and Malkin. Right now he probably think they are as good.

I hope both Tatar and Andersson get some shifts with Datsyuk, not at the same time though.

Just take 2 points no matter how.

Zetterberg is going to score a fluky goal to put him back on track. He's beyond snake bitten right now.

Why does the pizza from Little Caesars at the Joe taste so much better then every other Little Caesars? It's incredible.

The Oilers have a good PP% and PK%, but are towards the bottom of the league at even strength. We definitely don't want this to become a special teams battle.

And you'd be in the minority with that opinion.

Winningest/most successful career doesn't not equal the greatest individual player.

Russell's career was mindblowing and one that we'll never see the likes of again in terms of team success, but he's not even carved in stone as the consensus #2 or 3.

For every 100 "greatest players ever" list there is, 99 of them begin with Jordan and rightfully so.

After that there's typically a handful of players that get debated to round out the top 5. Russell is definitely in this conversation, but so are the likes of Wilt (who played at the same time as Russell and was statistically better in so many ways and clearly better athletically, but didn't have the same team success - but wasn't on a team as good as the Celtics), Magic, Kareem, Bird, etc.

I do agree that the Crosby/Gretzky vs LeBron/Jordan comparison is way off. LeBron is currently (for the past yr) playing some of the greatest basketball ever played. One of the most complete games the NBA has ever seen and if he continues at this level while winning multiple championships, the Jordan vs LeBron debates will be endless.

All their losses are in the shootout, though, which are really ties (as are shootout wins).

Can Trevor Thompson play on Datsyuk's wing?
