If we sit Kaberle to play Weber I'll be pretty pissed. Kaberle has been solid since his exile.

True. But that's good that he's proven himself. Now if Weber can prove himself than we are flying high.

i agree with this

i thought Kaberle really picked up his game since coming back in the line up...i don't think he deserves to sit

maybe they should dress 7 D and sit a forward

therrien did that for a couple games this season and i thought it worked out pretty well

Habs take this one hands down, they will come out angry and hungry in my opinion. 5-2 final

Let's not become delusional with the 1st place. There are big holes on the team still and the penalty kill and faceoffs are the most glaring weaknesses.

If you look at the calendar, this game is very important. We can't hope to repeat the past trip to Florida and four straight losses would send us tumbling down to the middle of the pack.
This is exactly how I feel. There are a bunch of things to fix and despite the improved and surprising play of our offensive presence and some key goaltending (yeah, that's right, I said it!), if we can't win FOs, if we cannot cover the best frigging players on the ice, not because they get open, but because we literally give them a free pass to the slot -- we are not going to be winning much more.

It amazes me how well we played as a unit and with TEAM defense at the start and now it's just disappeared. Are we making a tradeoff in offense for defense (the reverse rather) and the more tiring the sched gets, the harder it is to backcheck or defend smartly?

Gorges needs to get back to his normal. (As does Price, I'll admit that.) The fwds need a swift kick in the ass for leaving their players. We're not even getting out muscled - just out-smarted.

Bolded part is so important. We can only afford that kind of slid rigggght at the end, although I rather it didn't happen. Keeping on winning also prevents future losses. I can totally see us going on a 6-0 run if we play like we did near the start. Might need some puck luck, but hopefully MT has got this team on the right path.

I guess we won't know until episode 6 (Return of the Jedi...Price?)

was referring to the 24CH Hebdo

Did you guys see how happy he was to see Ryder (for all the wrong reasons....puke...bruins)? That was Kabs first game.

I assert que c'est My-cuhl Ry-dur qui a relancer no. 22.

Need to get a solid game from Price tonight. He's been struggling last few games, not saying all the goals let in were his fault, but he is supposed to be better than he is right now.

If the habs think like the fans in here do we're going to lose.

Obviously you've never played sports if you take another team lightly.

The last game was clearly a 'should win'
This game should also be a 'should win' but has been upgraded to 'needed win' because of the loss in the previous 'should win' .

Lose tonight and we will be near 'must win' territory.

I hate must-win games seen much too many in my life.
Win goddammit.

Habs will be better in this one and will not let up like they did at Long Island. This team has shown us that they have what it takes to come back after a bad game and play good hockey.

No idea how things are going to go with the Canes. I have no idea who their damn goalie is, but being an unknown has never stopped goalies from stepping up against us before. We have a tendency to turn average goaltenders into superior ones. I'd like to see Ryder get his first goal with the Habs. I'm also glad Weber is in. I hope he plays well.

We need Price and our team D to step it up in this game.

Goooooooooooooo Habs go!

Considering that backup goalies tend to play like hall of famers against the Habs i'm not sure that's a positive

Wouldn't say one of our best... But he definitely meets expectations. Realistic ones, actually.

But I dunno, playing Vèbère instead of Emelin makes no sense, and it apparently wasn't official that Kaberle was scratched.

Yea. Kaberle has been better since he came back. Though he was responsible for some of the goals last game (along with Bouillon) Isn't it confirmed that Weber is replacing him? My guess is Bergie might be trying to shop either Weber or Kaberle rather than buying them out. Or MT is trying to ease them back into the lineup gradually.

Besides, it does make sense to play him instead of Kaberle. If he plays with Bouillon, he plays on his regular side.

When are you guys going to understand it: Bouillon, Kaberle, Weber, Gill.. they're all going to look good next to the hyper-athletic Subban. Therrien knows it too so he plays Subban on the third line.

So please stop crediting these scrubs over and over, it's getting silly. Bouillon next to Gorges has looked like the Bouillon we all remember from before: dimwitted, slow and useless.

And how Gorges looked like?

And what's the problem with Bouillon being not that great when not paired with Subban?

If he would have been great all along, well, he would probably cost 3 millions more, bringing him into Gorges territory. But he only costs 1 millions, hence why he plays like a 5-6th D-Men.

The problem is -- considering how Gorges do, he should make Bouillon better, or actually look good.
