Just a farce of a period. Like taking every bad stereotype from this series and condensing it into 20 minutes. For me, the biggest issue is the lack of discipline and how easily the team comes unhinged when playing these guys. That's on the coaching staff and also the leadership in the locker room. It's embarrassing.

DB wants to send a message? I would bench Niskanen this period. His penalty was exactly what you're trying to stop doing.

Could be 3-1 without his penalty.
Neal's penalties were pretty chincey.

Can't fault Fleury. Martin scored 2 for Philly and Engo had a part in the other 2(perfect screen and not taking Rinaldo).

My friend timed that Neal "slashing" penalty.

Neal went in there .8 seconds after the whistle, don't blame that on Neal, every time the Pens play the Flyers the refs just LOOK for a reason to penalize the Penguins.

Just checked score and here. Looks like I've picked the right day to miss my first game of the season. I'm kind of glad that I can only imagine how mad I should be right now.

THANK YOU HEAPING PILE OF WORK!

and? my point was that the Flyers have struggled against everyone EXCEPT for the Pens. the Pens are weak in every aspect of this game, period.

everyone is at fault tonight. there isn't one leader on this team. there isn't one "routine" goaltender playing for the Pens tonight. there isn't one player who is unafraid of clearing the crease BEFORE the play is whistled dead. there isn't one player who can exploit the Cryers' mediocre defense. there isn't one man running the team right now who has any semblance of coaching adjustment capability.

Might be the only thing that brings a change. Sacrifice one more year , for this to chance. Because even with our stars....I don't get how this team continues to do the same things over and over that leads to a loss. I have no problem with the pens losing a regular season game....it happens. I have a problem with the repetitive **** that they don't learn from. How hard is it? It's a joke at this point.

This team, as of right now...is clearly not cut out for the playoffs. I guarantee even if we don't face Philly, teams are going to be studying these games and try to get us to react the same way

Except for the very real possibility of meeting them in the playoffs every year, I am consoled by your theory.

There's no excuses or rationalizations. We're either a better team then they are or we're not. For the last year+ we've proven repeatedly we're not.

And Bylsma really is not prepared to deal with these kinds of situations. The Mr. Calm thing doesn't work when this happens repeatedly.

Well, I like how Sid is playing, although it's tough to tell because the 'Kunitz and Dupuis aren't enough' red flag is showing itself again. I really like how Geno and BB are working together, although Neal is doing his Tanner Glass impersonation again. I think Letang is playing o'k, although it's tough to tell with Niskanen there. Everyone else can suck my balls, especially Fleury and Bylsma.

I'm done with Bylsma. Team won't listen to him. Doesn't matter if he's a good coach, he's obviously lost the team.

Neal is seriously making me angry. That line was just Malkin and Bennett.

I don't know, RRP. That Montreal game was similar, minus the stupidity. We've had a few non-Philly games like this but yeah, nothing like all that encompasses these Flyers debacles.

I wish I had an answer for this. It's kinda eerie to be honest how similar all these games are.

MAF's backdoor has been open since Gill and Scuds left. Not surprised at this outcome at all.

Brutal and I mean a BRUTAL period by Engo.

Slow, wimpy and not that skilled is NO WAY to go through a hockey season. The NCAA system by Disco is one thing but I'm putting a lot of this seasons woes on Shero. Way to many holes on this team and not hard to play against.

Our PK has been unbelievably bad against them the past 2 seasons. And yet we still give Giroux all the space he wants until he finds an open cross-ice pass.

Maybe DB will get fired if we lose by like 7.

The Pens and Flyers games just aren't fun to watch anymore. It's full of penalty minutes and the Flyers scoring PP goals. I would rather watch the Pens play the Panthers, at least it would look like a good game.

I live in Dallas. Know some guys who still play, know some of the Stars people. Let's just say your assessment of Neal's intelligence is actually quite understated.

At what point do we actually realize that Fleury isnt good enough and that he's not ever going to be that goalie who was great in game 6 and 7 vs the Wings on any sort of a consistent basis.
