By that logic, Bowman should be extremely exhausted from the half-decade-long ******** he has received at the hands of many here.
Can't tell if troll statement or you actually think the status of Drayson ****ing Bowman is in the top 100 of team concerns anyone here has ever had ever.
If Boychuk had a fraction of Bowman's hockey IQ and shooting ability, he'd be an NHLer. The insufferable crappy poorly developed sabremetric criticisms of Bowman make me laugh. I'm a dinosaur like Brian Burke, I guess.

Yeah, who cares about "stats" which evaluating a player's offensive ability. We should just take into account how good their shot looks in practice drills. Game situations are totally irrelevant.
Wasn't Patrick Eaves said to have an elite shot as well? I believe it was even Ward himself who said that.
I just want to clarify that my post was not a wholesale endorsement of the kid, just that it was funny or ironic that we had been discussing the merit of his shooting ability and the next game he goes out and fires a laser past one of the best from just outside the hash marks. I gave a pretty detailed opinion of Bowman a few posts prior.
Well I don't think anyone questions his shot. He's a shooter with accuracy, velocity, with a quick release and he'll shoot from anywhere. I just have always questioned his sense. He's a guy who needs to be set up generally, like Nash did on his first one. He lacks the creativity to create on his own. Took him awhile to learn where to be on the ice at the ahl level, and I suppose if we wait another year or two he may figure something out in the nhl as well. Who knows. Is it worth the wait? He hustles and tries to forecheck, he knows his only way is to do what coach tells him. Can't blame him for that. He is just filler at this point though, unless that goal gets him on a streak if course. He's had a long look at the third line and didnt do much, and I don't think he's a fourth liner. Until someone bumps him out fine he's on the fourth but id rather see Blanchard there at this point. Let the fourth line be legit grinders with a little thump. Bowman should be the one giving Charlotte their depth back. Sutter, Blanchard and Wallace on the fourth works for me.

Of course the shot probably would have hit Price in the chest if it didn't hit the defenseman on the way through, but it absolutely was a laser.
Great 3rd line C and another steal by JR landing a top prospect for a somewhat mediocre AHL'er Martin Marincin. Reminds me of the whole Tlusty for Philippe Paradis trade, thanks again Burke.
Great to see Nash doing well for you guys. I never thought he'd amount to anything. As for Marincin, he's actually a very promising prospect. Probably our 2nd best prospect right now.. He's a rookie in the AHL and definitely a project but I wouldn't say he's mediocre at all.

I was pretty impressed with the way Bowman handled himself tonight compared to previous nights. He was visible, something he has not really been for many games this season.
Nash continues to impress me. He isn't totally consistent yet, however, his game continues to improve.
